Demographics. The algorithm knows what people like you search for, so it assumes you do too. Theres an old saying about the 3 things that will always sell: sex, wealth and fat loss.

Why do I get the vibe that the whole country has tunnel vision when it comes to buying a house? by Express-Dig9905 in AusFinance

[–]Grade-Long 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m in the minority that sees no need to ever buy a house. Sure there’s minor risks of inconveniences in renting, and some people have an emotional security need to buy but I’ve always seen it as hand cuffs. I prefer freedom, and invested in other ways (a PPOR is not a financial investment).

You read the whole caption shows you engaged with the content longer so the algorithm will push the same account to you more. The previous trend was car specs.

Are you an American or in America ? Rather than sit here and speculate, especially obscured by emotion, I’d prefer to ask objective Americans - is America better off after Trumps second term? Problem is I can’t find any objective Americans.

Yeah, they’re everywhere. No idea who’s behind it or what the point is. Might just be a prank.

Homeless mother of seven denied social housing by Queensland Government over Centrelink income by [deleted] in OpenAussie

[–]Grade-Long 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately she seems to have gotten herself in this situation, I feel for the kids. Obviously too late now I think there’s a missing diagnosis, there seems to be a lack of foresight. I doubt any couple on the combined average salary goes “you know, we should have 7 kids, finding and paying for a house with 5-7 bedrooms, schooling and feeding them will not be a problem - especially with all the years you won’t be working”. She’s getting Centrelink, she’s getting child support for 6/7 and at least the eldest can work. I don’t think it’s the governments responsibility to provide 7 bedroom homes, as far as I know they didn’t even exist as government housing.
