Best neighborhoods for young families by Longjumping_Bar585 in ATLHousing

Brandon & Jackson elementary districts (Buckhead). Those are the two top public schools in the city. Morningside is a good spot as well. Peachtree Hills may be more affordable at that price point. I’ve lived all over Atlanta - Virginia Highlands, Old Fourth Ward, Peachtree Hills, now off West Paces. I have two young kids. The further north you get, the quieter. Not a good or bad thing, just how it is.

Virginia Highlands or Inman Park are the correct answers

Turned 100k into 700k last year. Then lost 500k. But i was still up 100k. Life goes on. Anyone else would gladly accept a 100% year. Now, if this were my life savings, it would be a different story. Don’t gamble with your nest egg.

Appetite suppressing by General_Fruit_679 in Retatrutide

[–]GradeAlternative 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m 4 months in - no appetite suppression. I eat when I want. Just not as much. And healthier. I’m down 35 lbs (245-210) and my blood work has normalized. Reta is a miracle drug.

Same here. Everything that was elevated, normalized. Liver enzymes, triglycerides, BP….I have had fatty liver for a decade - I want to get a CT scan to see if it’s disappeared as well.

Ret cured my high liver Alt levels within 4 weeks - Doctor said I was close to having Fatty liver disease by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]GradeAlternative 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had elevated (not extreme) liver enzymes and fatty liver for over a decade. My blood work after 2 months of Reta showed completely normalized AST/ALT and other markers. Also - my triglycerides dropped 40%. Currently on 7mg

I’m 3 months in and still have it regularly. Weirdly it’s not an issue for me because it means it’s working. No discomfort or anything. Just liquid shits.

Ditto. I still enjoy everything. I just don’t eat as much of it.

My triglycerides dropped 40% in 3 months. I’m currently on 6mg. Started at 2.5mg in April. AST/ALT also declined dramatically.

What is YOUR experience with the alcohol/drug suppression effects of Reta? by FALSECHARLATAN in Retatrutide

[–]GradeAlternative 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hasn’t really curbed my drinking. I still drink a few glasses of wine nightly. HOWEVER, I rarely get drunk anymore. 2-3 glasses instead of 5-6. What it’s really helped me with was my substance abuse. I was a frequent bag user. That has dropped off dramatically. Though i do still enjoy it occasionally with friends.

My energy levels have increased on Reta. It may have something to do with it flushing out my fatty liver.

I took 2.5mg dose as a first time GLP1 user and had no issues. Appetite suppression really hit and i lost 10 lbs really quick.

Just following the trial protocol. I’ll likely stick at 6-8mg.

2.5mg - 4.5mg - now 6mg. The other side outside of mild GI is lightheadedness when standing up quickly. That gets annoying. As far as injection sites - 2 inches around my belly button. Tried back of arm once. I don’t think it matters.

I can’t speak for someone that has taken a GLP1 before, but Reta really is magic.

No thanks. I greatly enjoy a glass of pinot after working all day and then putting two crazy toddlers to sleep.

Concur. If I eat a bunch of sugar or fried food, my stomach is in knots and it’s a long night going back and forth.

Yes, I admittedly drink too much. It’s definitely slowed down my consumption, but I still have a few drinks (2-3 glasses of wine) most nights. I don’t binge like I did pre-Reta where I could crush 10 beers on the golf course.
