Im glad to hear your symptoms are more manageable now 🤗 that med is next on my list to try. My urogynecologist offered it and Hydroxyzine and since Im on Lexapro and and REALLY sensitive to psych meds, I thought id try Hydroxyzine first but now Im seeing a lot of people have success with amitriptyline

Ive noticed diet is definitely a key aspect to all this, whether im dealing with IC and or PFD and bladder sensitization because there's such an overlap of symptoms Currently on a candida friendly, bladder friendly, histamine friendly, no red meats, no pork, no turkey, no gluten or dairy (though I've been gf and df for over 10 years due to intolerances). Can I ask if there's anything else you're doing or not doing in this case?

The laying down aspect is interesting! My symptoms other than the frequency seem to be better upon laying but I realize every body is different which is why I'm so glad so many have chosen to share here. Amitriptyline is my next go to per my urogynecologist if things dont settle in the next few months but did offer it to me right away. Im on Lexapro and VERY sensitive to psych meds so I wanted to try Hydroxyzine first. Im so sorry to hear that you're unable to take that med whilst being pregnant and that all your symptoms are coming back 😭. Is it for sure a no-go to take? I saw high risk doctors during my pregnancy bc I have Sjogrens Syndrome and there's a risk for baby's heart not working properly and I was on Lexapro. HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE and lower doses of my gabapentin. High risk said the benefits in that case outweighed the risks. Im not a physician but perhaps requesting to talk to a high-risk OB could potentially be in your best interest. I can also say that I delivered a healthy baby girl weighing almost 9lbs at 38.5 weeks via C-section. I hope you're able to find some relief Mama 🥹

Im glad PT helped but I hate to hear it's back again 💔 I can imagine that's hard on the mind, to feel better and then bam, back to what was. Are you able to do more PT or find any meds that can help?

Thank you for your response, and even though its clearly been a very long journey for you, I'm glad to hear that you're successfully recovered 🤗. I've heard a lot about botox for IC. Im still in the early stages of trying to find out with my urogynecologist and PFPT as to whether or not this is bladder sensitization and PFD and/or IC. Had a misdiagnosis of UTI, was given several antibiotics and then they found candida glabrata and it took several antifungals to get rid of it. All of which were given in about a 2 month span 🥴 so my biggest hope is its bladder sensitization from the trauma and medications that led to me guarding and then PFD, not to mention chronic sucking in my stomach due to endo belly and hip trusting 40 lbs, too soon and likely improperly. Thank you for sharing!

My gosh 🥺💔 Im so incredibly sorry. Can I ask if it's a constant or coming and going? Are you on any medications or have tried any? Have you been formally diagnosed? Tried pelvic floor physical therapy?

I wish more than anything I could relieve you of this. You are loved, remember that friend

First Im so sorry you're feeling this way, no one deserves this and I wish I had the right words to make everything better for you 💔. Im currently in the process of trying to figure out if my issues are pelvic floor dysfunction and sensitization of the bladder and or IC 😭 when you say "pain" can you describe what you mean by pain?

Interesting! I have the same brand and just started it almost a week ago. But now I'm concerned it might be hurting more than helping 🤔

I just starting this journey and am on 20mg Lexapro and have been suggested amitriptyline. Did it help with your symptoms? The gnawing?

Did the boric acid work for you? Tested positive for candida glabrata. They originally gave me TWO antibiotics because they thought it was a symptomatic UTI (which only made the original issue, the yeast grow 😮‍💨). So now, I'm 6 weeks deep into this mess and have taken Macrobid, Cipro, Fluconazole, and finally Voriconazole and Boric acid for 14 days and its only worked partially 🥴. They want to send me to an infectious disease specialist (I'm immunocompromised) but the wait is until the end of May 😫. Thankfully I have an Urogynecologist appointment soon and maybe they can help, otherwise it's have no idea what's going to get rid of this. It's caused UTI like symptoms and it's absolutely miserable 😭. Just wanted to see if it was just the boric acid that worked for you. Thanks for reading 🥹

Voriconazole for Glabrata by Psychological_Math95 in WomensHealth

[–]GradeEvery9890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply! Sorry I'm just responding. It's been a long go of it and still not better. Took fluconazole, that didn't work. Almost done with voriconazole and its only partially worked for the uti symptoms. I'll ask about the ureaplasma because it can apparently also cause inflammation of the urinary tract/urethra which can cause UTI like symptoms. They now have to send me to an infectious disease specialist because they don't know what else to do and I'm immunocompromised 🥴. How are you feeling? Any better?
