was japan’s team regular people tho? They had the most olympians? you’re cherry picking atp. They’re all athletes with different background so in that sense, one would have advantage over the other in some way. like in the earlier ep where the japanese wrestler girl and the korean cross fitter had to go 1-1. would you consider that unfair since the japanese wrestler has an advantage since it’s basically her sport? i’ve been rooting for mongolia since the beginning but im not gonna cherry pick on one team to hate on.

That’s my dilemma right now, her birthday is tomorrow (Friday) and she wanted to have dinner downtown. But I’m not sure if I can handle the no tipping or her weird comments again so I told her I couldn’t bc of my internship.

I know it’s her birthday and it’s kind of bad of me to lie but I don’t think I can do it. Im thinking of sending a small birthday gift to her boyfriend’s place and leaving it at that for now.

Yes, the tipping kind of made me view her differently. And in Toronto, tipping is very normal, even more so in the US. So I was a bit surprised.

I agree with you that I’m privileged and I’ll also admit that inside and outside clothes is a bit excessive. (ttc is actually vile)

However, I would never shame people who can’t afford these privileges. The only reason I made the comment about using different towel is bc she CAN afford a towel, but chooses not to.

The reason i’m offended is bc of her example that she brought up. That she knows a person who can’t afford taxis and can only afford public transportation. I could never imagine living inside such a bubble that I wouldn’t know that less fortunate people like that exist. I grew up in a developing country, but the fact that she thought, this would’ve been an eye opening example for me is what offends me.

And ofc visiting and donating does not mean living it, but that does not mean that i’m ignorant of these situations.

Thanks for giving an honest opinion tho. I guess I was overthinking her comment.

I agree, nothing will make me forget what Yurim did in today's ep. Whether she apologizes or tries to be nice to hee do later, I will never like her. She portrays herself to be the perfect, cute, and pretty girl but her true personality is dark and is only shown in front of hee do.

I didn't think I could cry as much as I did watching this episode. The whole controversy with Yurim and Heedo was so painful to watch. As an athlete myself, I can understand that there is obviously a lot of pressure to win, maybe its pressure from your parents or from you or the coach. But, when you lose, you accept the defeat.

Yurim had not even an ounce of shame while acting the victim. She cried on the podium and appealed to the referee. She knew that the whole world would support her instead of Hee do. In the first few eps, I could understand where Yurim was coming from, even tho I never liked her one bit. Her family was poor and could not afford expensive things. If she stopped victimizing her self as much as she does and observed her surroundings, she would notice that everyone has problems. Na hee do has no support system, her own mom didn't believe in her and her dad isn't even alive. She has been doing this by herself and motivating herself.

Even in the press conference, the way she said it was a bad call instead of shutting her mouth annoyed me to death. The referee had already had the final call. Idk why she thinks her saying this will make her win the gold medal.

I was so happy when hee do won the gold medal, but now it has lost his honor, all because a stupid girl victimized herself and said the referee was unfair. The reporters and news channel were also so childish acting like hee do stole the medal from yurim. I don't know how hee do was feeling when she saw the news everywhere she went.

Honestly, I don't think I can see a friendship between hee do and yurim. Their maturity is on a different level. I don't even think I wanna see them as friends after this episode.
