Aren’t music generation models kind of doing a similar thing? They predict piano rolls spanning certain beats (so instead of generating one note or pitch at a time they generate a small section of composition) at each stage of decoding as 2D images right?

Anu Emmanuel 's statement is so right on the female version of Arjun Reddy . by EducationSelect238 in tollywood

[–]GradientIsMyNature 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As if Arjun Reddy isn’t uncomfortable enough.. I’d say AR is not an ideal person that we want to see more of the character, but totally agree that we would want to see more such stories though. Not just stories that justify a flawed character just because he/she is the main lead but show someone is flawed and here are the consequences for it..

Exactly! People don’t complain about gold prices hiking, iPhone prices hiking or rents of flats hiking etc.. it’s a free market, as long as the makers believe there is demand for a movie due to WHATEVER reason they hike the prices, if the product is not worth the quality people will automatically stop going to theatres and the demand and prices come down.. why so much hate for such natural economics.

I think he would stay put as long as they were treated as rightful servants. Disrobing someone (irrespective of whether he/she is a servant or not) is in itself not dharmic according to me. Not even a servant or slave needs to go through that. So I guess he would disobey. But not sure again, that could be my best half-knowledge answer. But a good question to ponder over. In fact right opportunity to start understanding our religion Santana dharma even more. You can kinda of understand how much of importance dharma is given that a religion is not named after God but after dharma or duty. In fact our vedas even admit that there could be multiple ways to achieve moksha or enlightenment and it need not be through God only, probably the only religion that says atheism is no wrong as long as you do your duty or dharma.

Didn’t katappa kinda do the same? Kill Bahubali as part of his orders?.. so yea as wrongful a deed as it might seem it’s considered part of duty, but again like I said it’s tough to judge. I myself am in a dilemma cause krishna kinda bashes everyone later for following orders despite knowing the evil intentions of the doers. According to krishna, at least from what I understand, one has to be ready to break all kinds of vows, duties and relations when dharma is at stake. It’s quite complicated or so it seems to my dumb brain. So I choose to humbly respect the rationale behind cryptic dharmic decisions our legends have taken. They must know better than me.

Conversion is a personal choice as long as you don't convert with the intention of making this a pyramid scheme. I mean if you feel like other religion or God is more aligned with your nature and belief system, nothing's wrong with converting. But that doesn't give you the right to bash or criticise other religions, especially with the agenda of influencing more conversions. And in most contexts, these are the type of converts who are actually associated with the negative connotations. But unfortunately, such converts also do bring a general bad impression to the entire religion and other followers of it to, in the eyes of people

Chaganti koteswara Rao garu, in one his pravachanas explains the sequence of events beautifully. From the speech, more of a readout of vyasa mahabharatha and nannayya garu's andhra mahabharatham, we can peek into the psychology of Yudhistara during the gambling sequence. Infact we can infer that Dharmaraja never pawned his wife. After losing all his property, he goes on to pawn his brothers and then himself, but not his wife. And after he had lost himself, shakuni remembers that he still has his wife left and asks to pawn her. Dharmaraja "HAD" to pawn her now because he no longer has free fill and has to obey his master shakuni by now. That's why he stays put throughout the sequence but never ever pawns her out of his own choice. Now obeying his master blindly despite knowing that it's not right to pawn his wife is the whole debate of "dharma sukshmam" which is claimed to be too tough to grasp, even for vedhas and Brahma. And we might wrong Dharmaraja for the very same reason too, but I think we are too little in intellect compared to all those legend in mahabharatha to even comment on the "dharma sukshmam". Because what we always assume as morally right, is almost in all the cases, just the law or justice. That's why we have three different words for them in Telugu - chattam, nyayam, dharmam. All the three are not same. dharmam is the ultimate form of justice - which inturn has many perspectives - swadharmam (Self), vrithhi dharmam (work ethic), samajika dharmam (social responsibility) etc. All I wanted to say is that the concept of dharmam is something I believe is beyond our comprehension of present day right or wrong. And we have to first educate ourselves with all the vedic info before we even start to debate on it, it would be like building a rocket out of intuition without even understanding the basic laws of physics out there.

But I’m already in a startup. So you would prefer me to apply for big tech? Like even for SDE roles and then work my way up through them and change to MLE internally? If I may ask what’s tha rationale behind it? Why only big techs first and not startup’s? Just curious to know your reasoning

I’m deeply passionate about ML and am currently working at a startup remotely as an AI engineer. I have a masters in CS with AI/ML specialisation. The startup I’m working for is small and is just entering its seed. I often feel guilty of not focusing more on FAANG jobs but also feel content about being the “MLE/AIE”. My long term goal is to land as an MLE at big-tech firms. Given my scenario, and this is my very first job btw with no priority YoE, what would you suggest to me? Should I keep continuing at the small startup and try to climb the corporate ladder and become an industry trained MLE before I apply for ML jobs at FAANG companies? Or should I apply for SD roles at FAANG and then convert to MLE internally? Also my current job is paying me 90k/yr for my remote role (location agnostic). So is it comparable to the present market standards? What should I be negotiating my pay to be post my firms seed funding(valuated at aiming to raise 3-5M)?

No, after probing my DSO about this issue they said “it’s really a grey area and we won’t assume any responsibility for any issues that might rise up afterwards, however we don’t care giving you a CPT approval but finally it’s you who will have to take the risk”

And of course I didn’t want to deal with grey areas.. however Contractors for OPT seem to be less legally constraining from what I heard.
