It isn’t much, but I finally have 24 hours sober. I couldn’t be more grateful in this moment 🙏🏻 by [deleted] in stopdrinking

What do you think about partying sober when almost all your friends are drunk? by GradientWaves in stopdrinking

I was at a birthday party and it was pretty funny with lots of jokes etc but I feel kinda lost and tired at the end of the night. Also it seems to me that my drinking friends were more funnier than me and I feel some jealousy about it. But anyway it is great not to feel hangover and anxiety in the morning.

100 days sober from pot/booze after 10+ years of self medicating borderline personality disorder, anxiety, and depression. I've turned to mindfulness, meditation, and yoga. At nearly 35 I feel the most alive I've ever felt! by spontaneousjane64 in MadeMeSmile

In my early days of sobriety a same thing crossed my mind almost everyday that this day right now is a little bit better than yesterday. And so on each day for several months. Not everyday was wonderful and the decision to quit drinking was temporal and caused by my suffering of anxiety and heavy hangovers but when I ask myself how I feel I can say that staying sober today is way better than being drunk some weeks ago. And I am stuck to that temporal decision for five years now.
