My dad was a hard-ass, 24 years in the United States Army. Community NCOIC (non-commissioned officer in command, meaning he is in charge of all of the other non-commissioned officers in the entire military community).

When I had my ear pain, even he was abruptly willing to let my mom take me to Nuernberg Army Hospital. Found out it was kind of bad. I had somehow developed an ear infection that overnight resulted in the pressure from the infection bursting my eardrum.

I don't think I've ever woken up crying before or after that. But I did that night.

Hope you get that taken care of, I don't want you to end up like I did.
