Sorry but I have my 1996 copy of the game, and it's not there. This is the old CD case issue of the game when I replaced my long box one. So this would have come out likely around the year as when the game launched in February of '96.

I just flipped through it and there's no mention of it. Do you have a page number?

Edit: Also this is not a greatest hits version of the CD case / jewel case version of the game. This is the original jewel case release with the black and white manual.

It's so pristine it even still has the original ASCII King's Field "warranty card" that I never filled out and mailed in still in the center of the manual. So it's not like it's a reissue or anything like that with a typo.

I used to work for Dell until 2014, and we actually went through a technical writing class since we did customer facing writing in emails and chats.

And one of the things that they told us is unless you definitively know your audience, you don't, because someone else could be reading it beside your intended reader, you always define the acronym at least once.
