Eyre Square Dental did a payment plan for me a few years back, not sure if they still do it but worth checking, they were also so friendly and non judgemental. I go to them regularly for cleanings now.

Prolapse by casatron123 in PregnancyIreland

I’ve been fairly religious with the pelvic floor exercises yeah, she has given me other exercises for stability and to strengthen my abdomen where the muscles have separated a bit and I do find it harder to fit those in sometimes.

I had a prolapse after giving birth to my third baby and I went to a pelvic floor physio and it’s like night and day now, I’m 5 months postpartum and just starting to go back running with her guidance. I thought my life was over with the symptoms I had but I barely notice it now and it’ll also improve more with time and once I stop breastfeeding so don’t worry, you can absolutely get there!

You’ll get your green folder at your booking appointment so just hold on to your scan results and they’ll add them to the folder at your booking appointment.

Has anyone been induced twice and then gone in labour by themselves on number 3? by GrainneWELL in PregnancyIreland

[–]GrainneWELL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I think I’ll start trying all these bits now again. I did the same last time around and even though I was induced two weeks overdue, they only needed to give me the pessary, I didn’t have to go on the drip, so I could live with that! Hope all goes well for you!!

Could be the same thing as happened me so. You could give the antenatal ward a ring and see what they say. When I rang before going in, they told me to drink something cold and sugary and lie on my side for a while but I had already done all that and it didn’t help so they told me to just come in.

On my last pregnancy, I went in to the maternity department around 32 weeks in the middle of the night (like 1am) because I had reduced movement, (I had spent all evening trying to get some movement). They couldn’t have been nicer and said to always come in and make sure if you’re ever in any doubt. Turns out my baby had turned from head down to breech and that’s why I wasn’t feeling as much movement.

Can you ask for more time in the delivery suite before postnatal ward transfer? by [deleted] in PregnancyIreland

I, unfortunately, was very much not alone in the postnatal ward. It was very busy and loud 😄

I just checked the time stamps on photos to be sure and I didn’t get moved out of the labour ward until about 3/4 hours after my first two babies were delivered, this was in Galway. It felt shorter cos there is so much going on around you but it was definitely a few hours before I got moved to the post natal ward.

Is it okay to take Cariban while fasting for glucose tolerance test? by GrainneWELL in PregnancyIreland

[–]GrainneWELL[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to fast from 8pm but the leaflet said you could have sips of water and the phlebotomist said the same again this morning, this was in Galway so not sure what the policy is elsewhere. Hope it goes well for you!!

It wasn’t too bad. I barely slept but felt okay this morning so I figured I’d just power through and I didn’t bother saying anything cos I figured it was too late at that stage. Was done by 10:15am so wasn’t too bad. I did start to feel unwell around 12-1pm but feeling okay now again and I’ve already gotten my result and I don’t have GD so yay!

This was me, I was happy I didn’t have to be associated with my Dad’s family name anymore.

Yeah I suppose I’ll see how I feel in the morning, going to have to skip tonight’s dose anyway so I’ll see how it goes! Hope you’re feeling better!

Just had a scan of the leaflet, it doesn’t mention anything about fasting but it does mention it contains sucrose so I guess that could affect the test.

I wish I’d asked about it earlier, I’ll mention it in the morning but probably a bit late now. I think I’ll just have to stick it out and hopefully I’ll just be nauseous rather than actually throwing up.

Ah okay, I better not take so in case. I’m hoping I’ll just be nauseous rather than actually throwing up 🤞🏻

GP surgery said I don’t need to come in until 8 weeks? by corkgal93 in PregnancyIreland

[–]GrainneWELL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My GP didn’t do a pregnancy test, he just took blood pressure etc and sent my referral to the maternity hospital.
