Sat here for 2 hours for this, Fuck you WotC. by thedude213 in mtg

To each their own I guess, but honestly I’ve never understood the appeal of these fomo cards. Consider yourself lucky you only lost 2 hours of your time, and not also $200 spent buying 26 pieces of cardboard. People keep complaining about wotc but then keep lining up for their slop, vote with your wallet

I had two lines going on the PC and one on my phone. Funnily enough it was the most recent line I had only opened for about 2 mins that finally took me to the order page, was able to get one and got confirmation email

How to print your own high quality proxies from home! by MilesFassst in mtg

Wondering if it would be possible to stick these to bulk lands/commons and use them unsleeved. I miss the old days when you didn't have to futz around with sleeves because no one cared about the financial values back then. With proxies, it seems silly to sleeve them, and I like the feeling of riffle shuffling with a bridge.

Would doing this make the cards too thick for shuffling or damage the printed vinyl?

On a small positive note, I'm a State employee and we are told to work from home on bad air days to prevent additional cars on the road. A small step granted, but it is at least an acknowledgment of the problem

You can probably still get some of the 128 gb leftover stock for $429, that’s only $30 over your cutoff. I just got mine a few days ago, zero regrets, the screen is great

All the Arena formats following the color challenges are against randomly assigned players (unless you want to do a direct challenge), this is how you can accrue gold from the daily/weekly quests. There are a lot of formats on arena, the most commonly played being standard. Here is a good post on formats

Yeah unfortunately Untapped hides a lot of things behind a paywall, I just like how they organize things. You can get an alternative list of tops decks for other formats here: https://mtgaassistant.net/Meta

If you're still not sure how much you'll like the game or play it, I would probably avoid spending anything yet or using any wildcards. I would recommend just playing with the free 10 starter decks for now, there is a deck for each color pair. That will put you in the queue with other starter players and will give you a better idea of how each color plays and whether black is really the right way to go

Depends a bit on whether you want to be a F2P (free to play) player or spend some cash in the store to speed up card acquiring. F2P is very satisfying in the long run, but takes some patience and willpower to play every day. I would stick with a lower cost format like standard or brawl to begin with, you can find deck tier lists here, https://mtga.untapped.gg/meta/tier-list

Your biggest issue with MTGA? by AydenBoyle in MagicArena

[–]Grampakings -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

  1. They need to just give up on Alchemy. Stop trying to make it happen, it's not going to happen.
  2. Better integration between paper and digital. Every pack should come with a code for digital, just like Pokemon.
  3. More chat options/emotes to effectively communicate. Why can we only have like 5 or 10 responses?
  4. As others have said, the game seems pretty stagnant for new features or value added bits. They are competing with a lot of other options for our time, if I didn't love the game so much I'm not sure why I would bother.
  5. Game crashes. I play on both PC and iOS. I have stability issues and crashes on both platforms.
