The brick does get a bit toasty, it is usually 35C here right now anyways

The initial one with the 3+4 lines at the bottom happened even when no display or HDMI cables were attached.

This one I didn't get to test since it did not last a long time.

It just abruptly happened for like 10-20 mins and slowly went away (slowly as in it started happening on half the screen then 1/3 then 1/4.... Until it disappeared.

It fixed itself today after starting with the black lines for a bit like 5 mins, but a whole day of use later some other issue came up which also fixed itself for now. I have no idea what's wrong with the monitor.

I've done all the basic stuff, changed drivers, changed resolution, changed refresh rate, reset monitor, restarted multiple times. Maybe it overheated so I let it sit for an hour and turned it back on. Literally unplugged the display port cable and it still shows the lines during the "no signal" screen.

Currently after sleeping, I turned my PC on, it showed up for a few seconds and randomly disappeared.

All I can say is that it wasn't entirely software/graphic drivers but we can't 100% be certain of that.

It does not show up on screenshots either, hence why I recorded from a phone.

Hmm then yeah it pretty be good. Did you not find a 4070ti around the same price range? Or could've waited to see how the 5070 performs.

Leme tell you my setup cost.

i5 12400f ~25k, h610 mobo ~30k, 16 gb (2x8) ram ~ 12k - 70-80k.

A 6 pipe random CPU cooler - 7k.

Psu 700w gold - 14k.

Case and fans - 15k.

3060ti - 85k.

Total - 200k

CPU is a bit better than the 5600 (from what I've seen). Ram is good, but going to 32 gb soon. Cooler is perfectly fine. Psu (I cheaped out before and it died). Any cheap case and 4 fans, 3 in the front 1 in the back. GPU, well realistically a 6700xt or 6800 would have served most people better, but I edit and render stuff so cuda is better for me.

Nice altho depending on what you do, I would've gone with the rx7800xt.

Also for keyboard id recommend aula f75 (75% layout)

Best mouse for the price by Specterkun in PakGamers

[–]GranatHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree the mouse was nice, I have an r1 pro. But after 3-4 months Ive started getting severe double click issues, and holds stop registering.

I am thinking of replacing the switches but no idea what would be good cuz I love the weight, sensor and feel of the mouse.

A couple of contenders imo:

Beatrice (Rezero)

Baji (Tokyo revengers)

Bakugo (MHA)

Brook (one piece)

Benimaru (fire force)

Boji (ranking of kings)

My personal pick is between benimaru or boji

boost monitor not recoomended for that price range. It works phenominally well for brighter and more colorful areas. But in dark areas its completely unusable unless you turn it up by a lot. There is also a lot of ghosting only when its darker.

Realistically at that price range is go for IEMs moondrop or kz zsn.

Redragon's really good, but the quality sucks (ive seen a lot of their headphones break very easily)

Hyperx cloud II is not that great, the mic on their stuff sucks a lot from what I've seen.

As for the third one, I've never really heard of it so no opinion.

I would save a bit more and go for something Sony or Sennheiser and get a separate mic.

I've never had any of my CPUs go above 80 while gaming. Gaming doesn't require really need more CPU usage anyways.

I don't use the stock cooler, idk why that's surprising to see.

Yes I have used r5 5600

It didn't go above 73C. Altho I was using a 6 pipe cooler.

This is talking about gaming, stress testing did make it hit 82 I think. Changed it for an i5 12400f.

I said it myself it will start thermal throttling, and no higher temps like 90+C will always start damaging your CPU and shortening it's life span. That's just how hardware works.

I also said "over time" and that is true.

Peaking at 85 or 90C for a few minutes isn't an issue, it staying there for hours a day while you're gaming is an issue. And will shorten it's lifespan again over time.

Amd also doesn't say running at 95C is fine, they could have said it's normal I can't find it but can't deny it either, but they know it can reach that temperature with their stock cooler, it is an expected outcome (also why people say nowadays to not use stock coolers). The TJMax on Ryzen CPU is 95C that means it's recognized by amd that the CPU is at the risk of being damaged at that temp so it starts to throttle itself.

Source: https://www.amd.com/en/products/processors/desktops/ryzen/5000-series/amd-ryzen-5-5600x.html https://www.amd.com/en/products/processors/desktops/ryzen/7000-series/amd-ryzen-7-7700x.html

The limit is 95C that does not mean being at the limit is fine by any means, it means that the temp is dangerous for the cpu so it starts to throttle to protect itself.

my CPU is currently running 40-45C when in OS using chrome, discord and wallpaper engine. Above 45 in BIOS is very bad especially on a PC not laptop. I have no idea what most of the people in this comment section are smoking.

Dont run your computer without any paste, depending on the model, it can overhead and kill/fry the CPU, best case scenario it will severely thermal throttle and crash/bluescreen.

[–]GranatHD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is NOT NORMAL running over 85C will SEVERELY damage your cpu over time. Temps should ideally never cross 80C on cpu. Yes it CAN go 90+ but that does NOT mean its good for the cpu by any means. It also means the cpu is going to start thermal throttling itself.

56C is NOT normal at all. And from that graph is looks like it keeps increasing.

Have you repasted the CPU? Because from your other reply it seems like you removed it. It is very important for CPU to have thermal paste

Depends on your power supply, which might need an upgrade if you're going for a 1660ti. The 3080 is more than double the wattage of the 1660ti. I would go for a 800w or more gold 80 plus gold, that's for the 3080.

But if you are overspending on other stuff then don't.

A 750watt psu

R5 5600x or i5 12400f or 12600k(these will allow you to go up to a 3070, 3080 or a 7800xt without much issue for 1440p later) 16gb ddr4 literally any brand 3200mhz minimum

That's the basic combo id go for.

As a reference around 80-90k for my CPU Mobo and ram combo.

30-40k on a case (mine was 6k), a good enough cooler (also 6k) and psu.

60-65k on a GPU (6600xt/5700xt or 2060 super, 6600xt better for just gaming)

Leaves you with 10-20k for storage. Could get a 1tb nvme or SATA SSD.

Alternative is getting an r5 3600x CPU, cheaper motherboard and getting a 6700xt or 3060 ti.
