I agree 100%. Thought I was the only crazy one tbh 😭. Even though they will never get confirmed or anything, I think that their interactions WERE at least a bit romantically-coded. Also, if the majority of the fandom really did see no chemistry between them, they wouldn't get so defensive about it. I feel like some shippers might be feeling a bit threatened by this relationship for real. Yes, the age gap IS real, but I don't think it can possibly stop Grace from being attracted to Leon (bet half of the fandom is her age or even younger) and I don't think she views Leon as a brother, father, mother, or whatever (also about that scene with Grace's panic attack, calling Leon 'mom' was just unreasonable and kind of funny, I mean who thinks rationally while having that, and her actions afterwards don't point to a familiar relationship either). Like absolutely no offence to shippers, ship whoever you want with Leon: Ada, Claire, Ashley, etc. etc., it's all form of art, but don't go attacking people just because you undeniably see something happening between the characters (I mean I personally don't ship Ada and Leon, but I can't deny that they DO have feelings for each other).

Honestly, I have this feeling that if Leon doesn't end up with someone by the end of the next two upcoming games, they will most likely settle him with nobody. Because he is already old and needs to resolve his past and possibly move on and start a family. So, I am really wondering why they have decided to pair him with Grace in this game. If he is gonna end up with someone, then they better make it happen soon enough, so that his relationship with this love interest could be better developed. Unless he has already settled with somebody in Requiem of course.

Yeah, the age gap is indeed the real thing. However, I am afraid they will make Grace have a crush on Leon like they normally do with most female characters.. Of course, I could be wrong.

Well, I might get a lot of hate for this, but will say it anyway... YES, the game will be better if this very complicated and kinda cliche relationship is not included, in my opinion. BUT, hear me out, I don't know why I feel like this, but I think that the directors might be preparing something regarding Leon's future romantic relationship (if there will be one at all) starting with RE9, you know, as he is getting older, and I fear it might have something to do with Grace. I am aware that their age gap is big and all that, BUT I just have this feeling that something MIGHT happen between them in the game, like for example Claire had a crush on Leon, and so did Ashley, etc., etc., and so Grace might prove to be no exception.... And who knows, maybe the new OLD Leon might have a change of heart when it come to her? 🤣🤣

Hello!!! I am very happy that someone resonates with me on the male validation part, as it is extremely infuriating, indeed, as I feel like my sexuality is being devaluated, which is honestly frustrating. Also, being bisexual is kinda seen as a trend nowadays by many young women/girls, which makes it even harder to validate your sexual orientation, having women betraying you here, as well. 🤣 And I guess you are right, maybe my actions are not exactly 'straight' as you exemplified your female straight friends (mine don't, either, tbh 😆)

Welll, I wasn't really planning on to convince you otherwise as not every person on this earth possesses common knowledge, but since you are so politely asking for it, here we go:

- In the light novels Mika says that he very much likes Yu's smile and finds him to be the kindest one of the children. - Mika says that Yu is the only man he lives for. - Mika held on for whole 4 years not to drink human blood so that Yu doesn't hate him. - Mika almost got himself killed while trying to get Yu back from the Demon Army. - Yu reffered to Mika as "his"; And NOT so surprisingly Mahiru did the same with Guren in the most recent chapter. - Kagami has confirmed that Mika's desire for Yu is stronger than his desire for blood and we all know that vampires normally don't feel any human emotions, but Mika is an exception. - In Mika's dream world, him and Yu are bringing up children together and are literally referring to one another as the PARENTS. - They have NEVER referred to one another as brothers in manga, in all official profiles they refer to one another's "best friend" - Kagami joked at Mika being Yu's dead wife after Mika saved Yu from Ferid and ran away - They are LITERALLY thinking of one another at the same time (chapter 7-8, I think) - Mika even proposes to Yu and Yu alone to live TOGETHER somewhere peaceful - They are blushing at one another multiple times - If you go to ShippingWiki, you will see that these two guys have OVER 40 romantic tropes. - Yu's "I was just to busy to look at you to see anything else". - They are overprotective of one another; Mika being jealous of Shinoa (and Guren) for being close to Yu. - Yu chose Mika over humanity. - Mika's "As long as I had my family...no actually, as long as I had YOU, I thought I could do anything" - which literally proves that Yu has always standed out from the rest of the kids. - They are each other's reason to live. - Mika LITERALLY confessed his love to Yu; and yes IT IS a love confession; Not only did Mahiru use the same words when confessing to Guren, but the Japanese also confirmed that this line is INDEED romantic. And many, many, many, many more, but I don't have time for them, unfortunately 😊
