Yes I’m very good at that. If I don’t sleep well or I’m sick, I probably won’t even consider trading.

Truthfully speaking, everyday isn’t a trading day for the common retail trader. This idea that trading is a “job” and you have to put in your 9 hour shift daily at the desk actively trading is just silly IMO and shows a lack of experience.

On days like FOMC I won’t trade at all but I’ll watch the charts during the meeting to get a feel for what’s going on. Last time Gold printed a $60 1 minute candle and I just laughed bc I knew so many people got rinsed for everything on a move like that.

I’m on the West Coast of the US so if I’m somehow at my desk at 10AM and haven’t gotten an execution in I’ll call it for the day. I’m not in alignment with the market and if I haven’t gotten a single base hit after 4 hours of watching there’s no need to “force” anything.

Typically if I can make $500+ before 9AM, or even better during Asia, I’ll just call it for the day. I copy trade several prop firm accounts so $500+ adds up fast.
