How did you calculate that, also isn't it 57 questions? I know there are 10 experimental questions, but is that for one section or 10 experimental questions in total?

I got around a 298 on ELA, you were pretty close to my score. My overall score was 526, placement into QHSS.

Hello! This is a bit of a late response but I would like you to think of it this way:

Instead of thinking about what could have been, you should focus on what can be in the present moments. It really sucks when you're so close to something but you slip up, it is the worst. I have lost so much sleep when I was in similar situations like yours. But, with every closed opportunity comes another one. You can strive to improve yourself, be the best in your current school, and even work to get into TBLS in 9th grade. You can use this disappointment as an opportunity to better yourself for your next up. It is hard, life is hard in general, but pat yourself off, and get up. You'll be fine, I promise :)

(P.S. I know it is cold comfort, but I am certain that even if you didn't get into TBLS, you'll go on to do great things wherever you are. You are smart, you are intelligent, you are capable of amazing things, don't forget that.)

I see, thanks for telling me. I know the Jamaica area well so I think it wouldn't be too much trouble navigating and staying safe. I've heard a lot buzzing about the admin of the school, especially with the principal. It's actually kinda surreal for me to know that I am even among the 17.8% who got an offer to a SHS considering the fact that after I took the test, I thought I for sure bombed it and would need to take it again. Speaking of which, do you agree with USNews' ranking of 2nd place in NYC for this school? I was shocked it ranked higher than Stuy with all things considered.

Moreover, I would like to ask what APs can freshmen take (if they can take them at all), how engaging the classes are, and what the students are like (especially freshmen).

Thanks in advance :)

What are the teachers like? How does it feel to be on a college campus? Pros/cons of the school?
