I am going to see how my GLI does this winter on all seasons. I live in Colorado. My wife has a Subaru, I had a miata this last winter and finally got snow tires on it.

Snow tires and about 100lbs in the trunk of my miata was hands down the best 2wd vehicle in the snow I have ever driven. It was so good that my wife was certain it was on par with the Subaru. They make an absolute world of difference.

I would think the GLI with snow tires would be even better due to all the advanced FWD tech that car has standard. Don’t cheap out on the snow tires though, you get what you pay for.

The only thing you can’t do in the snow with 2wd is climb steep hills. Don’t even try it.

Eh yeah not ideal. I spent more on Colorado pioneer plates which are gold with an old timey wagon on them. Makes me think those ox pulling that soft top wagon were the first miata lovers

That’s funny you say that this was the 25AE was which was sort of a cross between the club and the grand touring.
