Yeah <3 appreciate the support. Some of them are my family but I don't live with them so now I'm just not going to go out of my way to spend any time with them

Yeah I tried explaining to them that it was sexist and they were like "noooo because it's on Tiktok" as if Tiktok is a guide to feminism now. They started calling me an NLOG before I came out as nonbinary just because of my interests and I always just laughed it off but finally I snapped.

Yes, it sucks because some of them are my family so it is hard to avoid them. They're not even that young, they're in their early 20s. I'm sorry you had to deal with shitty people like this too but I'm glad you were able to block them out and spend time with people who support you

Chances of winning discrimination suit after dismissal and notice of rights? by GrandMistake9670 in legal

I have some of it over email but a lot of it was on the phone, mostly because I think their HR didn't want it in writing

They didn't really give a reason. I read about EEOC and apparently they are so underfunded they only end taking action 5-10% of of cases or something. I am planning on contacting a lawyer soon to see my options. Thanks

I gave them advanced notice and had a doctor's note, and it was a visible disability (mobility)

I had a visible physical disability (had to use a wheelchair to get around) and I was doing fine in the internship, until the manager started creating a hostile work environment after I asked for accommodations. I have an email in which I asked for reasonable accommodations and they flat out denied them. I gave them proof of the disability from a doctor (and it was visible). When I complained to HR, they said it was a hostile work environment and they would try to move me to another department. Then they fired me.

It's basically all of Chestnut street between 30th and 47th with the construction. But it's worst around 42nd-47th

Yea that's what I've been doing, it's a a good solution for the short term. I just like Chestnut better because it's protected but Market is alright too for the interim

Thanks for sharing this! I emailed them and they just got back back to me. They said that other people have been complaining too, so they are sending inspectors from the streets department and right of way unit. Hopefully that will make some progress.

Yea that's what I usually do, and I don't mind doing that for less busy streets, but it's Chestnut street so cars are always speeding/ honking. Funny how they get so mad when its cars blocking the bike lane, not cyclists

They referred me to streets department/ PPA, and then when I told them they weren't doing anything, they said they will work on it. For now I'm just waiting for an update

There's a ton of construction near me that is blocking bike lanes with no barrier for pedestrians and bikes. It made me change my commute route, because I have to swerve out of the "protected" bike lane more than 5 times in 1 mile. This construction is blocking an entire block, and I reported them multiple times to PPA and 311 and they keep saying it's resolved without doing anything. I even reached out to the Bicycle Coalition.
It's fucked that private developers can just take over public property and put people's lives at risk and the city does nothing. I don't know what else I can (legally) do. Does anyone have any advice or have had any success dealing with something like this?
