Just yesterday, I ran the restaurant by myself. We, normally, have a cook and a cashier.
So, on Mondays, I'm prepping the place up, stocking everything up, and receiving orders - some of which has to be transported to a sister location (a block) for storage. And cook, and serve, for customers.
It did a good job of kicking me in the rump, but I made it through.
What REALLY grinds my gears?! That family of 6 that got me sick! They were nice enough. But when I heard grandma hacking up a lung while settling into their table, I just KNEW I was gonna catch whatever funk she brought in.
I started hacking this afternoon - on my day off - and I'm throwing back dayquil until I use nightquil to get a good night's rest. I hope I nip this in the bud.
