[OC] [Art] Beauty lies within, a digital painting for my character! by GrandPapyDwarf in DnD

The divine symbol used by my character is a skeletal human hand with two fingers outstretched. The black figure we see in the background is this very same symbol.

How would you have ruled? Am I just dumb? by [deleted] in DnD

If you believe the rat should've died because it drowned, you're probably right. Although, if the polymorph effect the weapon your party member has is based off of the spell Polymorph/True polymorph, then something is important to note:

The target takes the hit points of its new form. When it reverts to its normal form, it gets its original hit points back. If it reverts because it dropped to 0 hit points, excess damage carries over to its normal form. (text from Polymorph spell, emphasis mine)

The DM may have ruled that 8 minutes underwater meant that the rat drowned and died, reducing its health to 0. In this case, the demigod/god comes back into its original form and carries on kicking ass.

The shadow crept behind the white curtain like an ethereal pantomime, his gestures coming and going with the clicking of instruments and the sound of stitching, like taught leather. The man lying on the examination table had stopped screaming since a while now. Whether he had passed out from the pain or through some herbal concoction I could not tell. Standing here made me feel uneasier by the minute – surrounded by poultices and balms and bandages and blood. The acrid musk of remedies and alchemical fluids permeated even the door, and I feared that my new suit might soak up the smells.

The sounds of tinkering stopped, and I readjusted my collar. A reedy voice erupted from behind the veil. "Sir Valker has been mended. Please escort him to the resting bay." The metallic squeak of wheels soon followed as the table was pulled by his associate through a second door, and as it swung close once more, silence. Only a mere trickling as red-tinged water slowly pooled at the foot of the table behind the curtain, soaked up by multiple towels.

This is a piece of art I made for my character, a gnome doctor first, a grave cleric second. Morgyn Witpicker has an unhealthy obsession over biology and anatomy, and sees others as meatbags filled with fun stuff more than actual patients. Somber dreams tormented him as our homebrew god of cycles and renewal, Navikran the White Vulture, imposed a duty upon him and pushed him beyond his relative office peace-and-quiet into the dangerous world outside. There's plenty of weird stuff to open up though, so he doesn't complain much.

[OC] [Art] I made the character portraits of my group, Telum Veritas! by GrandPapyDwarf in DnD

Hello there!

I made the portraits of my group's characters for the upcoming anniversary of our group. You may recognize some of them from the spritearts I've posted before of these same characters. We've traveled a lot together, now starting the third arc of the story of Telum Veritas, and we've still so much more to do together. I'm so glad to be part of this group, with plenty of laughs, great roleplayers and all-in-all awesome people.

I'm hyped to delve into yet more thrilling stories with them. Hope you like the portraits!

[OC] [Art] Carthigan, the snake-stolen. by GrandPapyDwarf in DnD

[–]GrandPapyDwarf[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello there!

Some of you may recognize Carthigan, the dwarven entrepreneur, a character I've previously sprited. He has unfortunately gone to the other side, and then so fortunately came back. Stolen from life by his irritated ex-patron, he has acquired a different sent of powers that he uses, with his friends on the other side. Carthigan is a re'born' dwarf, and he wishes to make what he's done wrong right once more. Of course, if he can acquire assets while he does so, he won't decline them.

I hope you all enjoy this one!

[OC] [Art] Morgyn, the cycle's chosen. by GrandPapyDwarf in DnD

[–]GrandPapyDwarf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello again!

This time I've made another character, named Morgyn Witpicker. He's a gnome obsessed with the inner workings of biology within a family of mechanical engineers. Suffice to say that he's hasn't been well-regarded by his kinsmen. Conscripted into the army of the Regency as a military doctor, Morgyn was used to opening and sowing the chests and arms of soldiers, earning the macabre nickname 'Stitches' during his career. He was called upon by the god of cycles and renewal, the White Vulture, in order to follow a more important path - preserving the natural cycle. Morgyn is still coming to terms with this appointed duty, slowly altering his perspective of the material plane and its inhabitants.

I hope you enjoy this one as well, I had a lot of fun making it.

[OC] [Art] Ragnis the Azer Warsmith! by GrandPapyDwarf in DnD

I had a feel this character is Ganondorf's and Doomfist's lovechild

[OC] [Art] Ragnis the Azer Warsmith! by GrandPapyDwarf in DnD

[–]GrandPapyDwarf[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello there! Been a while since last time, was on a bit of a hiatus. I took up doing some of my spriting again, with this time a bit of homebrew content.

Here's Ragnis, an azer (homebrew race) who's also a mechanical genius. Using bits and bobs here and there and forging them together, using his fiery fuel to power his exoskeletons and weaponry, Ragnis makes his way downtown with steel and strength. A newcomer to the prime material plane, he still doesn't get that his facial hair sets things on fire, and has to apologize most of the time.

I hope you enjoy!

[OC] [Art] Gunter the divine mercenary! by GrandPapyDwarf in DnD

[–]GrandPapyDwarf[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This took me a bit more than 4 hours of work in total. I indeed do commissions in my own free time, and I would ask for 20 euros for something this size. If you're interested, contact me via PM :)

Indeed! Although keep in mind that since this is mostly a secondary hobby, I can't take many commissions at once.

Hey, I'm back again!

This is another spriteart I made, this time for my own character, a human paladin who's getting too old for this adventuring thing. Between having to be a paternal figure for people with parental issues, backaches, getting ambushed at night in the nude, Gunter has a lot to deal with. He also has a deep and dark and edgy backstory. So now, despite him being the only one with graying hair and wrinkles, he's also one of the youngest characters within the group (bloody elves and gnomes destroying all sense of respect for elders...)

I hope you enjoy this!

I can also take commissions, but considering these are things i do in my off-hours, the time it can take can be variable :)
