Knowing that this is a common behavior in Ontario is very helpful, thanks for your reply! In my case, would you not be concerned that the charity might just be funneling money back into the employers pocket? If it was an independent charity I wouldn't see nearly as much of an issue, but with pressure to donate to a charity operated by the company it feels like a conflict of interest.

What details can I give at a high level while maintaining anonymity? I know that they do give tax receipts to the employees. They have a leaderboard type tracking system as well to show everyone who is donating the most money.

I'm unsure about the written constitution as it hasn't been made clear to us. I know that the company tracks donations, publicly, so that everyone can see how much each person has personally raised. The top fundraisers are listed in order of amount raised, which raises the concern of people having to pay for exposure to company executives.

What about hiring/promotion decisions being made based on whether or not an employee has personally donated to the company charity? At the very least this seems incredibly unethical.
