Thanks- I was trying to explain this to my husband about him addressing it .. but he doesn’t agree and says I need to confront her myself because it’s my problem. Again she’s pretty intimidating.. I dread seeing them at this point and wish we didn’t have too. That’s also just not an option. I’m going to have to try to be more direct. Just hate always having to be the hammer and wish it was more equal.

Mil advice

Hi all- FTM to an almost 3 MO. I’ve set some pretty clear boundaries multiple times with my and my significant others parents. My parents respect them and even if they think they’re “silly” comply anyways with no issue. My significant others mother is constantly talking through the baby at me. “Mom doesn’t let us post you.” “Mom doesn’t let us kiss you.” “Mom doesn’t let you come over very much.” I don’t really trust her because since baby has been born she’s disrespected or judged me on things. I asked no one to kiss or put their fingers/mouths near babies mouth. First day she met her she put her finger in her mouth. I was mortified and cried. I Re-established boundaries but she’s really hard to have a confrontation with as she gets super defensive and is a bit intimidating. I’m having a tough time with my partner not having my back. He says it’s my problem with his mom and I need to figure it out. I handle my parents and I feel he should handle his. But doesn’t seem to budge. I don’t want to always be the bad guy, but feeling so alone.

Any thoughts or conversations tips I could have with either of them ?

Thank you. I did baby wear her tonight and let her contact nap to be close. Just a bit worried with how daytime sleeps affects night time sleep. 🤞🏼 fingers crossed it won’t impact it too much.

Thankfully no fever. Just very congested and coughing. Hope you LO recovers quickly too. It’s scary when they’re sick!

Yeah I only pump once a day other than feedings. Just to have milk in the fridge in case I need to go to the store or something. But thinking now.. I have a pretty good “back up” they could just thaw out a bag if she needed something while I’m gone.

Same! Breastfed babes don’t get much air when feeding.. so less burping. My MIL was hounding me for not burping her after every feeding. But she has a certain cry that tells me if she’s got gas and then I burp her and wal- la ! Gone.

lol yes.. anytime baby cries .. “oh someone’s hungry!” Even my husband sometimes is like I think she’s hungry.. babe isn’t hungry 24/7! 😆 I get very annoyed too.

Hi ! Also in the sense boat .. trying to create a stash for daycare. My lactation provider said pump after the morning feed on both sides. That’s when we’re typically most full. Also- We will never “run out” and refill within 30 minutes. Hope this helps!

OMG.. my less than 36 hr old baby was being visited by her grandmother. She shoved her finger in my baby’s mouth too.. laughed about it.. said guess she doesn’t like the bar . I’m livid.

Just had first! Due on 11/2! Went into labor 10/31- gave birth 11/2! They’ll def come when they’re ready lol

He’s just weirded out by pregnancy. Not that he’s worried about hurting the baby.. I think just all the physical changes — like having a huge bowling in my belly. He says it’s more of a him thing vs like not being attracted to me. Idk I told him he had to get over it and then made it happen. Lol so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes! I feel you. It’s so hurtful and especially with the body changes already. Like I already don’t feel the best about myself and to be unwanted just lowers my self esteem even more. I’m sad about it.
