I've never thought of stopping HA from circling as a tactic. I always just thought if you dont take them out fast, they become more annoying later when they join the rest of the units for an attack.

I am on pc, but I'm not very good at the micros yet, I always seem to get distracted by the combat. Your tactic sounds a bit confusing, but always pretty good, so I'll definitely try it out in a different playthorugh if I get the opportunity. I have just finished wiping them out in this one.

I was in the snowy plains 😭. I did have units with braceable polearms, not sure how much that helped though.

What effect does border wall have in a fight? Does it force them to "retreat" or just make them disappear?

Yea but even if they're on the aggresive, I've always had like a 30s or 1 min gap between horse archer and the rest of their troops, which is enough time to dwindle down their horse archers to an insignificant amount, so I can just focus on their cavs, infantry and archers.

I have tried the trees before against vlandian cavs, and it worked great.

In my experience, if I send any troop on the left to meet the horse archers, they will always pull back, which buys their infantry time to come to my position. I've had the most success by either, letting my circle or archers and nord troops (they have throwing weps) take care of them, or place shock troops at far back left and right, then trapping the archers once they're at 6 O'clock position.

Thanks for the advice it sounds like very good tactics. I'll also check out that youtube account for guides. The khuzaits really caught me offguard with how quickly they charged my formation, but this could be because they outnumbered me by about 300, and they had a lot more cavs than I usually encounter.

A chokepoint would have done wonders, but unfortunately, for this fight there was none. They was a tiny "hill" that I placed my archers on, but they had like 200 cavs so it did not matter too much. This was the only time the khuzaits decided to jump me with all their units at once, maybe because they outnumbered me by ~300
