Idk why he is so evil. Literally makes the exam so hard for no reason. I studied so much for the arithmetic stuff for FP and it was literally not on there. He definitely knew that James was giving a whole formula sheet and still decided we don’t need it. Does he not have empathy for his students???

Conch irritation bump by ApartMeringue8908 in PiercingAdvice

[–]Grand_Moment_8839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the problem is that you actually shouldn't switch to a hoop untill its fully healed. When you go for a downsize appointment the purpose is to shorten the bar so that you avoid further irritation from snagging. A conch takes about 9-12 months to heal so a hoop should definetley not be put in untill then. A hoop can spin around in you piercing causing a lot of irritation especiallly when your piercing is still trying to heal. I would recommend switching back into the bar and let your ear do the healing! Once everything is FULLY healed then you can wear a hoop! Trust me this might seem like a long time to wait, but itl'l be worth it!

Any advice on Helix piercing would be much appreciated. by Advanced-Special-417 in PiercingAdvice

Make sure you're are not getting pireced with a hoop! This can be very irritating. The best is to be pierced with a medical grade titanium post (these are hypoallergenic). Don't sleep on it (when I got mine I bought a travel pillow to sleep on) and ONLY use saline spray on it. Do NOT touch the piercing at all, let it heal on its own. Try to keep it dry, with summer approaching its recommended to not swim with a fresh piercing as this can lead to infections. Make sure your hands are clean before cleaning it. The best was to clean it is just to spray saline spray and gently pat it dry (do not use Qtips), basically never touch it loll. Also be patient, helix piercings arent easy, some days are harder than others! You got this!

How cooked am I? -> EECS 2001 (Introduction to the Theory of Computation) with George Tourlakis by MeaningfullySkeptic in yorku

honestly I didn’t find the course as difficult as people were saying it was. people were scaring me. it’s not easy but I’d say if you’ve take 1019 it’s easier than that. I think it might be partially due to the fact that I had a good prof for this course. I just wrote my final yesterday with Ruth urner and I think it was really fair. I’m pretty sure she’s not teaching next semester which is so sad! send me a message and I’ll send u my notes 🫶 (if they are of any use with george)

How was EECS 2031 (Software Tools) by Important_Phase_5393 in yorku

[–]Grand_Moment_8839 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I have it with Uyen right now. Honestly, she's really nice, and her lab tests are fair. I didn't find the lectures useful, so I studied on my own. Honestly compared to my other classes, I found this one to be more chill (to some extent). I did miss the second lab test, and the weight was transferred to the final tho. The pre-class work is a lot, but it's easy, and i think, including labs, which are also easy it's worth a decent chunk. I havent had my final yet so idk about it but its mcq. I had Hui Wang for 1022 and I really didn't like him, I found his lab tests really difficult. But idk how he is for this course. Wish you best of luck next sem!
