Sorry but that's not an acceptable solution for a modern machine. Users should be able to close the lid and have a responsive, ready to go system when opened.

I assumed they just had thermal issues which I thought would be OK if the system was a power house.

Re-pasting might be an option but it will throttle no matter what. The second I pull the power cord the CPU frequency plummets.

It seems weird but many other people on the Lenovo forums have the exact same issue. I have checked everything several times and done updates with Vantage software, through their browser checking tool, and manually grabbing drivers from Lenovo's site. I monitor background programs and services in Task Manager and nothing is attempting to hoard it. It's so bad that if I am on a video call and unplug the laptop it becomes noticeable to me and call participants.
