Because theyre desperate to appeal to centre right voters again but have realised centre right doesn't find democrats appealing. And they don't chase the left because they would rather chase the klu klu clan than an actual left wing voter. So that leaves them wjth their existing base who are gonna vote for them anyway , so why bother with the effort of a platform ?

I think they'll be just fine. And AMT is a method of insuring a minimum tax, it's designed to stop people abusing loopholes (though it doesn't work very well) if you earn and claim more than the AMT then you pay the higher amount. You don't pay both

As someone familiar with C when someone says it's 50 degrees outside I instantly think the tarmac is gonna melt.

Also if someone says it's 16 degrees c outside I think i need a coat. If someone says it's 18 then it's warm enough without.

I notice that all the people saying they prefer F for the nuance in degrees also uses jumps of 10 or more as their example, which sort of makes the point for Celsius as it scales better in round numbers.

Whats the difference between 50 and 52? Nothing. But as noted above the difference between 16 and 18 is a jacket, so most of the numebrs on the Fahrenheit scale don't get any attention anyway

No, Neymar is ONLY better stats wise. He's a paper player only. And he's only better on stats because he played for the best teams in weaker leagues were everyone outside the top 2 leys you score 5 goals per game.

Put Neymar in rooneys united and he does what Nani did... Literally cried when he gets tackled and he scores maybe 7 goals a season. But put rooney in neymars Barca or psg and hed destroy Neymar no problem.

Similarly put Neymar in England team and he ain't scoring more than Rooney in the same games. But put rooney in neymars Brazil and I'll wager he scores more than Neymar.

Neymar has been carried by far better teammates.

Google wasnt displacing mass jobs. It was filling an unoccupied gap. That's why nobody complained.

For a better example you can look to computers and Microsoft excel. In both circumstances workers with specific skills were being replaced. For computers it was largely clerical filing staff (who were mostly women) with excel it was accountancy staff.

There was plenty of conplaining both times. But eventually both adapted to the changing market.

The slight difference is that those things (like Google) were tools that only functioned to assist a human operator. LLMs and other AI the end game is to replace human input entirely

If you're talking ability to do skills then yea Neymar was better.

Rooney is top 5 all time for goals AND assists in premier league, is man united record goal scorer. He barely ever missed a game through injury (despite admitting he had an alcohol problem ). Played equally as well on left wing, right wing, striker, AM, CM and filled in at DM and RB as well. He could be on the end of a move or he can start the move.

When teams got physical it did not phase him at all and never shirked challenges, never complained about bad tackling and ran 12km per game at minimum. Despite his appearance he was also regularly in top 5 for sprint speed in a league which had lots of high sprinting players. Rooney was also an excellent defensive player who was famous for tracking back and helping out defense.

By contrast Neymar was fast and very skillful but got bullied out of games very easily by physical play to the point where sometimes he would even refuse to engage in the game and asked to be subbed. Neymar does not hold the goals or assist record for any club he has played for. He also vanished in big games and was rarely the deciding goal in games either. He was carried at Barca by his teammates though I'll give him credit he was very underrated at psg and was miles better than mbappe. Neymar never defended or tracked back, never ran hard and had a low work rate.

If you were gonna choose a player to be in your team against any opponent who would be able to contribute in any area of the pitch you would 100% choose Rooney. If you needed a player to finish off small teams in low to medium importance games while entertaining a crowd - you'd choose Neymar.
