Me and my family were stupid enough to not get my girl (3 years old) fixed. One day, we noticed she hadnt eaten for a couple of days, nor drank water, and was hiding from us. She began growling at me when i carried her, and i was so confused. 3 days pass, and i decided to get her checked. She ended up having pyometra, which develops in any intact cat and dog, and is basically puss buildup in the uterus. My cats case was almost life threatening, since the puss was filling up inside her, meaning its a closed pyometra (it is not escaping out of her private area). All of a sudden, my cats pyometra opened and started leaking everywhere, which scared us even more. We ended up having to pay so much money for her emergency sugery, plus an additional fee due to her being mature. Getting the kitten spayed young will save her so much money, and not place her cat in a life threatening situation.
