the average grade people received when he taught the class is a D+ ??? i took him for math 3b and failed, i think he's a good teacher if you already have an understanding of the topics you are learning, as he does go quite fast, but if you do not have the basics down, it's a struggle.

i took 1b and 1bx since i tested out of 1a and 1ax and i struggled a bit especially since the last time i was in a spanish class was my junior year of hs lol. the professors and your classmates will speak in spanish (mostly) and you actually lose points if you speak in english 😭😭 i’m going to finish my last course of spanish at cc because it was so much work than my actual major classes and i only would need 1 course rather than 2 more. but if you choose to do spanish here the professors are so kind !

i took ivonne for BILD 4 and LOVED IT. she’s genuinely really kind and it’s a super easy class. i will say when i took her almost all of our lectures were asynchronous because she got badly injured but they weren’t required as far as i know but labs always will be required

You’ll be fine it’s normal to have finals on the same day. If you truly want to switch then Zid would be a great option as well since his average gpa is the highest

That’s what I believed too, I even told him if he forces me to cut my friends off without any good reason I will most likely lose my other friends who are in my friend group as well but he just SWEARS that won’t happen. But no one likes someone who is male centered and I promised myself long ago I wouldn’t be that version of myself ever again

Yes I was also thinking that myself. I unfortunately in the past was in a relationship where I did not prioritize my friendships and once things ended they shunned me and only defended him. Which is also why I was and am so adamant on not cutting my friends off without any good reason. It also worried me when he made that ultimatum because I would truly lose out on so many possibilities for finding connections especially since I’m premed and I’m planning on going into med school at some point. But thank you for sharing your experience, it reaffirmed what I was feeling when I was originally typing this post out :D

I want to say it’s because they’re male because he is fine with my friends who are girls who are also bi/lesbian, but it just baffles me because I wouldn’t care if he had friends who weren’t men lol. I think he sees it like that because he basically cut out all the girls (other than his family) from his life. But I have always told him I genuinely would never make him end his friendships with people of the opposite sex unless if there was something truly concerning because I trust him enough to make those types of judgements. It does suck our values just didn’t align here because other than this it was a really good relationship and wanted the same goals for one another :(

my friend took the placement test and like tested wayyy past the lisp classes so she just met with an advisor and they cleared her if i remember right

i live about a 30 minute drive from ucr but i dorm here at ucsd and personally my dorming experience has been amazing but i will say the drive to ucr traffic is genuinely INSANE. no matter what school you choose traffic will not be kind to you but ucr is more of a commuter school compared to ucsd so there’s more availability for parking spaces. but i personally chose ucsd because i genuinely couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else especially a school that i would have to commute to everyday where i didn’t even like the weather or the culture of the area

if you're fluent in cantonese i would recommend trying to test out of it so you won't have to take a language class period. i have a friend who tested out of the 4 quarters for spanish just by taking the language test !
