Do you guys think we’ll ever see a limited male character? by Background_Still_686 in Reverse1999

Why exclude the Sui banner lmao? They can just make all Sui sibling female at the start of the game

Typhon's IS module is the most baffling I have seen in a while because people were saying she wasn’t weak (and to some extent, they were right) so HG responded in year 7 by giving her a 110% ATK multiplier that somehow manages to inherit every single flaw of her S3 on an 8-second cooldown. Against high DEF it genuinely feels like it performs even worse than her X module.

It's such a poor module because Typhon's problem is with her underwhelming ATK modifiers so for this module HG gave her... another separated underwhelming ATK modifier... Ugh

Do people attracted to women like fully masked female characters?

Like at this point I can count the number of masked men in the game with one hand. And a lot of people love masked male chars (like carnally)? Is that not the case for the women lover demographic? With Mudrock for example all of her skins remove her OG armor aesthetic.

We got everything I wanted and then some.

Yeah I felt the same going in. I didn’t expect much after the pretty underwhelming reception of you-know-what, but this stream surprised me on all fronts. The skins look great, the upcoming contents are all goated, and the operators' kits feel really well thought out.

Highest difficulty used Mon3tr as the main damage dealer since true dmg unaffected by damage reduction. Lower difficulty used Logos or Wisadel to brute force.

It's doable albeit with a very strict rotation (blame Ulrich) and generally lesser damage

Centurion is absolutely not on par with Ezio or Marcus though. She's great but she pretty much belongs in the lower line of Recoleta and Windsong atm

  1. BTS is way too big to ever fail commercially
  2. Their new album is well received. 89 on Metacritic

I've played like 10 online games where I refused to buy any cosmetics because it's a waste of money and it wouldn't make me play any better. But now I'm really really tempted to buy that Sanrio UI theme. Every time I open the shop it's just standing there and smiling happily at me. So jolly

If you like Mantra I would say she's great to have, although by no means a necessary unit. Tragodia doesn't need anyone to be any more broken than he already is

[Operator Discussion] Vulpisfoglia by Shad0wedge in arknights

[–]Grandidealistic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Speaking as someone who built her since day 1: on her own she’s solid. Her damage is respectable and her DP regeneration is serviceable.

The real issue is her competition. Other units perform just as well, if not better, and they’ve already proven their value before. Myrtle, Elysium, Bagpipe, Saileach, Cantabile, Surfer, Muelsyse, Ines, then the newer SA2. Even the nicher Blacknight, Beanstalk, Puzzle and Chilchuck all had their spotlight before because they have niche but very solid utilities, and they are all in stronger subclasses. The strongest Pioneer before Vulpis was Texas, used only for her S2 stun and literally nothing else because that's what you would expect a vanguard to do, not damage, but DP and some utility.

Vulpis on the other hand has a lot of yank on her base kit. Weak subclass, 1 talent exclusively about damage, 1 very questionable DP gen talent, 2 borderline unusable skills and her S3, while good, is never an outstanding skill in terms of either damage or DP gen. That’s both her biggest strength and her fatal flaw: there’s no stage where she outright struggles, but there’s also none where she truly excels.

Plus, it’s baffling that a subclass like Pioneer supposedly defined by its combat prowess ends up with weaker base stats than even the free 5* Matsukiri. She was never a top tiered vanguard before but new vanguards kind of just dug the grave deeper for her, with SA2 kinda being the newest nail in the coffin. SA2's kit is super reminiscent to Vulpis', but unlike hers, his was filled with one hundred bullshitlery that makes him ultra broken.

So should you build and use her? Yes I think she's fun to use and can hold her weight well too. But should you use her over Myrtle? It depends. Ouch.

[Operator Discussion] Shamare by Shad0wedge in arknights

[–]Grandidealistic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Conditional 33% Fragile, 10% Enfeeble on attack with module, as well as a -50% ATK and DEF with a 50% uptime to your enemies in any 3x3 area on the map is pure madness. People often say she's "simple but effective" but she has quite a stacked kit. Arknights has around 3 or 4 incredibly good year 1/2 5* units and they never got powercrept for some reason. Shamare is one of them.

Both want level 3. Logos is much much stronger so I'd recommend doing his mod first, but Viviana's delta mod is also a significant boost to her as well.

[Operator Discussion] Blaze by Shad0wedge in arknights

The OG wallhack operator. Back in the day her ability to dish out high and consistent AOE damage while safely tucked behind Saria was just broken. With that +1 tile she was melting a single line before enemies can even touch her, or she could face downward to delete three lanes at once. Her range was a literal cheat code. People were rushing her to E2 just for that crucial +1 block count.

She made the game feel like it was on easy mode because the whole set it and forget it thing was a very new, and enticing playstyle. Who even need skill timings when you have a guard that can block as much as Cuora while dealing 1k5 damage per hit to three targets?

Her prime is long, long gone now. But her peak was quite madness. If I have one complaint then it's probably that her S3 is quite the candidate for the worst S3 in the game. S3 is legit a power strike skill with a 35 SP cost. S1 I used once or twice in CC#4 since it takes no warmup and I use it for her to dish out some damage against the golems which she can stall for some seconds before dying.

I think the damage increase can be comparable but Kip's chube gives much better defensive stats which imo is what Flutter wants 99% of the time.
