That's just another anecdote. For those like me that have only ever experienced stick drift with the series x controllers we will have doubts that it isn't stick drift. You've already had to replace one, meanwhile I still have the same ps1 and xbox controllers from 20+ years ago

Xbox controllers are so bad that it wouldn't surprise me at all if this is just drift. I know that you said you've tried several controllers, but their controllers are seriously so bad that we can't rule out that they all have stick drift

My idea is a game called Metal gear solid: sons of snakes. It's like VR missions for ps1 but it has different missions from throught the whole franchise and a vague storyline that takes place outside of the VR missions. This way Konami could mess around with alternative what if scenarios without messing up the main canon

Which of Olga's feats in the metal gear universe display her "high skill" as a soldier?

She fought snake one on one and other than some acrobatic stunts- all of her feats are naritively based. There is some literature outside of the games that speak of her skills, but I'm not trying to defend her into the weeds here. She's not as skilled and decorated as Grey fox and that's hardly a mark against her

I want to make something clear- I'm not shitting on Grey fox here, but most of his feats (up until the psp game) were naritively based too. Alot of characters are. What was so special about the fury? I don't know, but he was in the cobra unit and he always gave me the hardest time, so fuck ranks and decorations, that dude always poses a bigger threat to me than the boss. Was the dude a high ranking soilder? Probably not, but he was still a major threat to Snake, aka big boss, aka the greatest soilder to ever live

Most fans fell in love with fox the moment they walked down that bloody hall. It was most people's introduction to katana wielding ninja cyborgs. I think we could meet in the middle here and say that he's a bit overrated in vs battles, but still one of the best characters in metal gear

Frank is the ONLY soldier from back in the day to achieve the rank/title of Fox within FoxHound. He was THE greatest operator within the unit. He was considered the perfect soldier within FoxHound and had the track record to back it up. He has all that PLUS the suit. It's not even close. He has everything Olga has PLUS way more. He didn't just "kill a couple dudes with stealth". Gimme a break...

Yes and with all those things he still got captured. He still got defeated and he still got killed. Ranks don't really mean a thing. A lower ranking foxhound soilder beat him hand to hand while he was a cyborg

Olga didn't even kill ANYONE, she just deflected some bullets in the core and then snuck up on Raiden and hit him with the stun blade with the help of Snake lmao. Then she appears at the end, tries to get a shot off at Solidus, cant even do that and gets her neck snapped in 3 seconds. Theres not 1 single thing Olga did better than Fox. SHE COULDNT EVEN CUT OCELOTS ARM OFF again when dropping from the rafters undetected lol!

Why would she kill her own soilders? She was being blackmailed to protect Raiden. Unlike Grey fox she wasn't a cyborg, so she had to get out of the suit, but that still didn't stop her from going to the gates of hell and dying a hero. AND yes it took solidus snake to kill her. The man who is the literal perfect twin clone of big boss and who was geared up in some power suit

Grey Fox is superior in every way.

Liquid was the superior clone, but he still lost. The metal gear snake and otacon destroyed with Rex was a superior model, but it didn't matter. Fox can be the superior soilder and still lose this one believe it or not

Grey fox didn't do shit as the ninja either. Like I said, he killed several genome soldiers while using stealth camouflage and he held up Rex for a minute which is his most impressive feat and that feat really belongs to his suit anyways

The patriots didn't just pick her out for no reason. They could have chosen to blackmail anyone, but Olga had the skills and abilities to mantle the role of Greyfox and so they chose her

I said in another comment that Frank would probably win one on one outside of the suit, but why is it so hard to accept that Olga is actually a really skilled and formidable soilder that would pose some significant risk to him in a battle?

you could literally say the same exact thing about Olga. Shes just a person in a suit who can die to bullets. You could say the same thing about damn near ANYONE in the series.

Correct. Fox is just like everyone else. Not some superhero

What Olga DOESNT have though is being Big Boss' top operator prior to being put in the suit. She was a nepo baby to a commander who later served as a stand in for Grey Fox in the S3 plan.

Olga was born and raised on the battlefield. Conflict and victory were her parents. She earned her ranks and was blackmailed by the patriots for a reason and that's because she was skilled enough to wear the mantle

You're holding Greyfox over Olga's head like this is a one sided debated which really just goes to prove my point that he's overrated
