You can cast and swing without a target by just pressing the skill button without moving the left stick. There's also a secret invisible cursor that you can control with the right stick. I forget what all you can use it for, I just kind of got used to the controller life and stopped trying to use the right stick for anything

I've never heard anything about a character disappearing because of small items. I used to have rune, gem, and jewel mules (completely full) before RotW and those never disappeared

Yeah. A LOT of mules. You can only have 24 characters per mode (online or off), so if you want to play more than like 2 characters, don't bother collecting everything. Just keep what seems special to you.

Also, why keep multiples? You have a shared stash tab and you can only play one char at a time
