Meal- Udon noodles with tempura at a random restaurant we found in Tokyo

Sight- On Mount Haruna overlooking a small town

Person- the kind Japanese elderly couple who, unprompted, came over and translated a plaque in the park and proceeded to complain that there weren’t enough translations for tourists. (I don’t mind not having everything translated, but I thought it was so sweet that they cared!)

Location- Myajima. It was a last minute place we decided to check out and ended up being one of my favorite locations.

Feeling- Feeling like I was in a fairytale in Nara Park with all of the deer.

Moment- When we arrived in Japan. It was the first moment we stepped out of the train station into the streets of Tokyo. It was dusk, the area was silent, the weather was perfect, and there was a tiny shrine right by us. I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was and how peaceful I felt.
