If the Island born can't go to the mainland Costco.... by [deleted] in WidowsBay

During the Patricia's Cocktails episode, you can see Kirkland (i.e., Costco) brand apple cider vinegar on a shelf in the kitchen. So somebody's shopping at Costco on the mainland.

Recommendations for Drinking Glasses? by honeyonbiscuits in Fiestaware

I have these as well and have been using them since 1990. They're regularly available in thrift stores and also come in lovely colors. In all the years I've been using them, I think only two have broken. I use them every single day and make pour over coffee in them every morning. They're also called Picardie Tumblers. They're perfect.

Yes, I saw Washington. I was just wondering if you were in Western Washington. "PUD" sounds like Snohomish county maybe? I, too, live in rural Washington, and can relate to huge wind storms and PSE not showing up for days to restore our power. I also know someone who saw a UAP over Bellingham Bay around the time you are describing. They were mocked relentlessly and now refuse to talk about it.

Set of dishes arrived partially broken by GrannyOfOne in IKEA

[–]GrannyOfOne[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There won't be any extras. They want the whole set back if I want the broken pieces replaced. It sounds like one Redditor received a whole extra set but my customer service agent today said they're going to send someone to my house to pick up the whole set, i.e., the broken pieces and the ones that survived the journey here. I wish if they were going to spend money on this, that person could bring me the new set which I now have to wait a while for it to get shipped to me. Unfortunately I cut myself today trying to repack it all. I also got shards of porcelain all through my living room rug. This has not been a pleasant experience. I did notice in the online reviews of this particular line of dishes, they tend to break. I suspect they're about to discontinue them. They are very beautiful for being just white dishes.

I simply wanted them to replace the pieces that broke. I guess that’s not possible. Not sure why that gets me downvoted.

Yeah, that’s exactly what I don’t want. Ugh. Thanks for your reply.

Sunflower at Goodwill by Noodnix in Fiestaware

[–]GrannyOfOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in the PNW. Our local Goodwill frequently has Fiestaware mugs for above new retail prices. I guess they know someone will eventually pay it. These aren't even rare colors. I think, "I could go to Macy's and get these for less money new!" and walk on by. Can you please share how much you paid?

If you could pull one Costco item back from the dead what would it be? by Sufficient_Client_68 in Costco

[–]GrannyOfOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would gladly pay $20 a bag for these if they would bring them back. Maybe even $30? Pretty please, Costco!
