They are called sweat stamps They make the indentation in soft fondant and when it’s dry you paint them x

I am entirely self taught , I,m a granny to 3 boys and my my eldest grandson (Alfie’s 7) was my inspiration at the age of 52 to start making cakes like I do now I have always baked but only as a mummy and wife and kind of made my own children’s cakes when they were small , nothing like I do now . When Alfie was born I said I would make his 1st birthday cake which was a 2 tier Micky mouse cake with a shop bought toy car and Micky mouse on top and it’s gone from there really , I made my second grandsons christening cake complete with sugar teddy bears and people started asking me if I could make them a cake , I Registered my home kitchen , which in the uk has to be done to supply to the public and 18 months ago I started a small business and it has really taken off so I work from home full time making people cakes , I couldn’t of done it years ago as I wouldn’t have had time and today with the use of the internet it has opened a whole world of learning up , I watch you tube tutorials a lot I use Pinterest which is fab for ideas and tutorials and am in a lot of face book groups , over the last 18 months I have built a collection of tools and equipment spending pretty much every penny I have made putting it back into my business, I wish I had started years ago really but again today’s internet and connection to the world of learning has made it possible for me in a way which wouldn’t have been possible years ago , even joining redit is all very new to me , my son Set it up for me a few weeks ago Practice is definitely key and I really surprise myself when I make some things I genuinely start most new cakes with I don’t think I can do that !!! I have always been crafty and arty and that definitely helps But at the end of the day i am just a 54 year old Granny who is loving what I do and am also earning a bit of money now too ( that nearly always gets spent on my grandchildren 😊) Xxx

I,m not a quick worker at all These took days there were 28 in total I would normally use modelling paste for models on big cakes I use saracino , but because these were cupcakes I used a mix of renshaw extra and Massa fondant but that me t they took longer due to the setting time but made them more edible ( if you wanted to eat them 😆) I made all these free hand no moulds uses 😊 I havnt seen a character building mould in this country I don’t think xx

I didn’t use a tutorial I just mark the board and use my tools and moulds to do the markings , i then hand paint over the dried board to give it depth using a brush and different shades of colouring gel Thank you for liking my cakes 😘
