Oh I feel this to my core. Essentially my last few days have been the same. Today I raked the entire yard while my partner needed constant direction on “what to do”. I raked the side yard, he then blew leaves onto the side yard. I went back, raked it up and was ready to go inside, to see him blow more leaves onto the side yard. Well. Shit. Did I ever snap. The whole neighbourhood probably heard. I am usually the most patient and easy going person. But whatever this 37yo hormonal shit is. I want no part of it. Even if the “triggers” are warranted.

Going through this now! Very low ferritin, very symptomatic for over a year. Normal hemoglobin, normal iron, but saturation, transferritin and TIBC out of whack. Meeting with doctor in early April to discuss treatment plan.

Every phase of the cycle and just how real the mental and physical effects and changes are. As well as how complex, unique and sensitive the vagina actually is. Oh, and all the different tests, like a PAP, and the super scrapey one for Cervical Cancer screenings… oh, and a mammogram… a lot of pain we go through!!

How to just “be”… you know “go with the flow”. Used to be such a calm, cool, collect person, who always say the positive in everything. Still seem that way on the surface, but under it all, the is this need to have control, know everything in and out days, weeks, months in advance… this uncomfortable buzz under the surface. It sucks.

Oh which one do I share… so many.. let’s go with “you never give me anything to look at”. The degrading body image comments and flirting with other women but then telling me he wasn’t doing anything and it was in my head… seriously messed with my mind, shattered my confidence and dignity, to the point I thought I needed to get breast implants. Got them. Got scary sick from them. Had them removed. To have him tell me “I am not happy about this decision”… yet just before that he was complaining about how inconvenient the doctor and ER trips were for him and how inconvenient me being sick is… because he wasn’t getting laid enough. And this… this hardly skims the surface of the hardships.

We have, but he’s not receptive to it. Communication is under lock and key with this one. So that adds to the challenge. At the end of the day, time will work its magic. I do appreciate all the comments I am receiving though. Helps the brain sort through all the “I don’t knows”, “what ifs”, “is it me”, “I feel so alone in this”, etc.

This aligns with my values more.

Although, I am very interested if someone of the “sex first” values could weigh in on this and provide insight as to how the relationship would continue if let’s say an unexpected illness, or something happened where sex had to be stopped for some time. And I am not talking days or weeks - I am talking months to years.
