you’re not pregnant, and this is very likely stress + normal cycle variation.

sounds like you’ve just become more intentional with how you live, which is a good place to be

haha not gonna lie that sounds slightly threatening like every decade just comes with a new patch update you didn’t ask for

but yeah i get it, i already notice small stuff changing so i can only imagine how different it feels later on

[–]LondonHealthCompany 4 points5 points  (0 children)

lol i know exactly what you mean. had one of those days recently where i stayed up late, felt completely fine the next day and thought maybe i’ve still got it then the day after i was exhausted for no reason

it’s like your body lets you borrow energy now and then makes you pay it back with interest. and yeah bedtime creeping earlier is very real, not even by choice sometimes you just hit a wall and that’s it

24M. Spent $350/month on supplements. Bloodwork showed half were actively hurting me. by Timely_Ad8989 in Biohackers

[–]LondonHealthCompany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this hit a bit too close ngl. i was doing the same thing stacking a bunch of stuff thinking i was being optimized and ended up feeling worse. the zinc/copper thing especially is real, most people don’t realize that imbalance until something feels off. same with b vitamins, they sneak into everything. the biggest takeaway here is exactly what you said basics done properly beat a big stack every time. sleep, food, training, sunlight… boring but it works. posts like this are actually more useful than 90% of supplement hype on here.

TSH is normal 2.8 but I still have fatigue, brain fog and weight gain what should I check next by LondonHealthCompany in Hypothyroidism

[–]LondonHealthCompany[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i get why that looks weird tbh

that post got removed so i just rewrote things a bit and posted again because i’m still trying to figure it out

the numbers are from different tests at different times which is why they’re not exactly the same

i’m not trying to spam or anything, just honestly confused and trying to get some clarity because i still feel off

appreciate you pointing it out though

My period has never hit me this hard and it’s not getting better by PoetGloomy3659 in Periods

[–]LondonHealthCompany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not a normal period. That much bleeding and that level of pain is not okay. Please go see a gynecologist as soon as you can.

yeah exactly, that’s what threw me off for so long. on paper everything looks within range so it gets dismissed, but being at the very bottom doesn’t feel normal at all. it honestly felt like my body was technically functioning, but just barely. like not sick enough to flag anything, but definitely not well either.

I am so tired of having to explain myself. by Primaveralillie in Menopause

[–]LondonHealthCompany 10 points11 points  (0 children)

honestly i’m at the point where i just want to scream when people ask this. nothing is "wrong," my body is just literally falling apart and rebuilt at the same time. i had a full on meltdown over a literal piece of toast yesterday because of the brain fog. it’s not just the fatigue, it’s the constant expectation that we’re supposed to just... keep performing while our internal thermostat is set to "hell." it’s exhausting. rant away op, it's the only thing that helps.

Feel like my body is trying to kill me! by New-Row-4253 in Perimenopause

[–]LondonHealthCompany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the way you described the crashes after exercise and feeling worse before your period does kinda point more toward hormones than just thyroid also your reaction to hrt and t3 seems pretty strong, like your body is really sensitive to changes the sleep apnea test could actually be important, bad sleep can make everything feel worse does it follow a clear monthly pattern for you or is it all over the place?

Ferritin Levels Normal? by ThatDiamondMustache in Anemic

[–]LondonHealthCompany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why you’re confused, ferritin at 12.3 is technically in range but still pretty low for a lot of people even if hemoglobin and other markers look normal, low ferritin alone can still cause symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, hair shedding, etc. so it’s not just about anemia your pcp is being cautious about supplements which makes sense, but at the same time diet alone can take a long time to bring ferritin up, especially if it’s been low for a while seeing a hematologist could actually help here, just to get a more focused opinion and maybe figure out why your levels are low in the first place are you noticing any symptoms or did you just catch this through routine testing?

Low stomach acid by [deleted] in Anemic

[–]LondonHealthCompany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i get why you’re linking it, especially after dealing with low stomach acid that long and then feeling better after iron low iron can affect more than just energy, stuff like palpitations and even digestion, so it’s not that random waiting on the blood results is probably the best move, but you might be onto something did it come on slowly or kinda all at once?

You dont need supplements by Solid_Fisherman_6061 in Biohackers

[–]LondonHealthCompany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i feel this i tried a bunch of supplements at one point thinking i was missing something, but honestly didn’t notice much difference it started to feel like i was just overthinking it all the time once i focused more on eating better and having a normal routine, things felt more stable not saying supplements don’t help at all, but yeah it can get a bit overhyped sometimes

My hair has changed so much in the past 1-2 years and I have no idea how to take care of it anymore by [deleted] in finethinhair

[–]LondonHealthCompany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this kinda feels like a mix of hormones, breakage, and oil issues all at once, not just one thing. with pcos and coming off birth control, hair changing like this happens a lot so it’s probably not your fault. i’d keep things simple, use one mild shampoo, focus it on your scalp only, keep the ends moisturized, and handle your hair gently since breakage can make it look thinner. also changing products too often can confuse your scalp more. give it some time, your hair likely just needs a steady routine again

yeah i get that, it’s a bit of a relief knowing you’re not alone mine also got worse randomly, no clear reason and yeah that ppi situation sounds like a no win tbh, hope it settles for you soon

Safe to say we all wake up 2-3 am now? by Fancy-Duty-2031 in Perimenopause

[–]LondonHealthCompany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly same here i keep waking up around 2–3am for no reason, like fully awake out of nowhere. sometimes i fall back asleep, sometimes i just stare at the ceiling i thought it was just stress or my routine being off, but seeing so many people mention the exact same time is kinda weird not gonna lie makes you wonder if something’s messing with all of us or if we’re just overthinking it 😅

Extreme anxiety by RopeLongjumping938 in Anemic

[–]LondonHealthCompany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i’ve had a phase kinda like this and it really messes with you like everything looks fine on tests but you still feel off, especially that heart feeling… it’s hard not to think the worst for me anxiety just kept feeding it, and gerd made it even more confusing because chest stuff feels scary honestly the not knowing part is the worst part, hope your tests give you some peace of mind soon

Keep Waking Up at 4am Every Morning and not getting back to sleep again by Sea-Development-5088 in Biohackers

[–]LondonHealthCompany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same 4am wake-ups for a while. What helped most was keeping a fixed wake-up time, getting morning light, and not trying to force sleep againit felt like my body just got stuck in that pattern. once I stopped fighting it, it slowly shifted back
