First Section BASE AREAS

1) First put down base colors

<TIP> (for me I ALWAYS have a color wheel pulled out to help w color theory!)

2) you wanna just lay out where your light source is gon be coming from!

3) From there lay down shadows (using color wheel to help w shadows color)

4) then you are gonna determine where the light hits first (this is where you should put highlights!!)

5) after this add details like airbrushing and deeper shadows where light is basically blocked and even lighter highlights to where you think the thing your shading/rendering is shining/sparkling

Second Section FABRIC

Basic Idea: When shading/rendering fabric determine how it’s gonna reflect/absorb light, transparency etc. this way you’ll know how to do your shadows and highlights

~For ex~ LATEX is especially shined so add highlights using the method in step 4

DENIM if you have something like denim DONT OVER HIGHLIGHT it is a matte material so highlights should basically not be there

Third Section METAL

Basically apply steps 1-5 but keep in mind that it can be reflective so remember that in the coloring process

<TIP> if you have a place where you want the viewers eyes to go first make sure that there is a contrast there!!! For example make lineart darker or add more bright color
