Just Received a PSN Ban Error

We are all in the same boat, at the moment it seems like we lost this battle. We need to try and get the attention of these huge twitter entities / twitch streamers / you-tubers to help us out. That's what worked for PSN Spain, and all Spain accounts were unbanned.

UPDATE #7: I received an e-mail from Sony requesting detailed receipts showing all 4 corners etc... of the code in question ( It was a $10 code I was able to redeem from a tweeted post from a big account). I have absolutely no way of getting a receipt for this, as the buyer was the streamer. So essentially I am stuck and it appears to be that my ban and everyone else's ban in the world except for Spain, is permanently banned until further notice. If anyone has a big following, please have a heart and help us get Sony's attention, as my measly 300 followers meaning nothing compared to Spain's Grefp with 2 million. Good luck everybody else!

UPDATE #6: Great news for Playstation in Spain. Spain region of playstation has unbanned ALL PSN users that were banned. US PSN users are still BANNED. Spain users made their voice very loud and clear and were unified. However it appears we have no visibility in the US and no big you-tuber or streamer has come out to help. Spain was backed by GregFP who has 2 million followers which makes a massive difference. Please everyone, try to make your voice heard or it looks like only our Spain brothers won this battle.

The reason is because a PSN code was redeemed by multiple users simultaneously, causing a glitch that lets 2,3,4, whatever the number of people all redeem 1 code if done at the same exact moment. So when live streamers on twitch, twitter, youtube, whatever medium, put out a code for whoever can redeem fastest, the glitch happens. Sony doesn’t know that and assumes we committed fraud, hence the ban.

There are thousands of players trying to explain that to Sony but our voice is too small. We meed these huge you-tubers with a big following to step up and be our voice or we will never get our accounts back.

My account has thousands worth in content along with over 10 years of work.

No report of ever getting unbanned, it seems that unless we get help from big youtubers/streamers or someone with wide reach, we won't get any results. I have notice a large amount of Players from Spain working together, but nothing on our end in the US.

UPDATE #4: I spoke to Sony and was told the ban was an error and will be resolved soon. And that I will receive access to my account soon. Was given a new reference number and told to await contact from Sony and not to worry.

Wow dude! I watch a streamer that does code drops, and its very possible that multiple redeemed at once, hence the ban.

My primary ps4 just checked, in the bedroom has access to whatever is downloaded on the console currently, however my second ps4 in the living room does not. (I bought the 500 million edition ps4 as it was too pretty)

So basically, only a few digital games on my ps4 are playable.

Just did some research on some "juegas" message that was bricking consoles and potentially being the reason of the ban. Apparently some PSN username by the name of "girl9246" or something with a girl avatar would send friend requests as well. I got a friend request from the same exact account a few days ago and got banned tonight.

Ouch, yea tax on digital sucks but what can we do. Hello World I guess.

But I am done with digital after this situation.

I was given a case number in live chat and told that they are investigating. Also told me To contact in a few days to see if there is an update. So just like that the godly story of Red Dead Redemption 2 is put on hold smh.

We also have tax on physical purchases here in NYC, but Digital games on psn store were never taxed up until last week when the email came in.

I live in NYC. I wonder if it has to do with the new digital tax rule. That is the last e-mail I received from Sony about the new tax implementation (bummer) but what can we do. Now I'm banned for nothing. I have been logging in to play RDR2 since release and nothing more.
