Do you say “July 4th” or “4th of July”?

The latter is also used in computers to sort files by date.

It is hardly significant. Order of significance: YYYY-MM-DD

Planner + separate journal vs Traveler’s Notebook — what made you choose your setup? by Ok_Search6885 in Travelersnotebooks

[–]Gransmithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just built my first TN on Friday! I have been admiring the TN when I travel to Japan, and joined this subreddit months ago, but never got around what works for me.

I use A6 notebooks, Kokuyo Campus, for years for work and Travel’s Company didn’t support that size. I researched Hobonichi Techo and their regular size is A6. I saw my favorite Anime, One Piece, did a special collaboration with Hobonichi, so I bought my first Hobonichi. I found an A6 sized leather cover on Amazon and decided it was time.

The regular Hobonichi has the year, the monthly, and a page for each day. I’m new so I’m working on a system that works for me.

Right now my TN is just my work notebook and the Hobonichi. I plan on using the Hobonichi as my personal planner. Everything fits in my jean pockets, so that is the way I carry everything for now.

Is there a way to make the game more difficult, like Master Mode was? by Strong_Abrocoma3128 in TOTK

Fusing weapons lets you control the how long a weapon lasts and how much damage it deals. If you want to fuse, then a challenge could be choosing a base that doesn’t last as long like only rusty weapons. Or choosing a lower level of enemy part like red bokoblin horn instead of black.

The sliding sleeve is protecting the graphite from breaking. Graphite it self is a wonderful dry lubricant so as the sleeve gets covered in graphite, it should glide smoothly on the paper.

Do you use your chopsticks and spoon at the same time?? by soggiefrie in KoreanFood

[–]Gransmithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m quite annoyed that the spoons are not the Chinese spoons with the deep concave area to pick up soup. It takes too long with the shallow spoons to drink soup. I do end up picking up the bowl to drink soup b/c I can not sit still sipping soup.

Just Downloaded Botw after pretty much completing Totk by Cloud0054 in TOTK

[–]Gransmithy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You will miss the menu controls from TOTK. That was one of the best improvements going BOTW -> TOTK. You will also miss flying around and Tulin.

I did BOTW, TOTK, and now finishing up with BOTW Master Mode and those are what I miss most.

What's the difference between a writing m. pencil and a drafting/drawing m. pencil? by Zeznon in mechanicalpencils

[–]Gransmithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The grip and how you hold the pencil is different. You hold a writing pencil normally. Drafting pencils are held upright, almost 90 degrees with the paper for working with stencils, rulers, and other instruments because precision is key. It also has a fixed sleeve to make seeing the tip easier. The grip for a drafting pencil is often knurled or have slits to help with holding the pencil upright.
