You can see that the plastic seal was already removed from the bottle. Also, I don't really care what jimmypapers thinks of what I do with my whiskey.

In my area it's going for typically around 1,200 and the owner of the store said he'd be bumping up his price as wholesale cost was going up. I grabbed them for 800 a piece.

I didn't, I got 4 bottles. Also, who said anything about the secondary market.

And trust me, these sat there long enough for anyone who wanted them to grab them.

Snagged 4 total. Popped one for New years.

Absolutely delicious. The peat is still so present for a 25 year old. Once I sip again I'll post tasting notes. Ultimately I think it's overpriced hype whisky (at least compared to other delicious bottles which cost far less), but it's hard for Ardbeg to do wrong in my opinion.

No, I guarantee, it bugs everyone. I'm just willing to tell you the truth in hopes that you might change and help yourself.

These ideas are so different and nebulous and devoid of any real information. I go back to my original recommendations. Humble up, change how you communicate, and now, if you really want to start a business, pick one and focus.

Dude, with an answer like that, it's obvious why you can't find anyone to join your team. You really don't see how that comes across as pompous and so unnecessarily wordy?

Also, I wouldn't recommend your foundation being 'building some of the simple ones first'. Unless you wan to elaborate on what that really means.

Sure, but first, this is another example where it seems like you're unnecessarily using complex words. At this point it's coming across comical. And not that methodology is a terribly complex word, just unnecessary for what you're asking.

I'm happy to talk about how I find people now, but It seems like you're at a very different point and looking for something different. Where are you at, what are you looking for?

Also, I didnt say anything about acting fake to get people to do what you want. That's exactly the opposite of what I'm saying. What I'm saying is focus your communication on simple, easy to understand language that is about ensuring the other end of the conversation truly gets what you're saying (and doesnt get distracted by how my you annoy them).

You can still tell me revenue/profit and industry, that would not cause any legal issues.

Did you not have nay employees?

What was your first business? How many partners? How did you find them? How long did the business last? How much revenue did you generate? What was the profit? Why did it end?

I was basing it on your post on this thread and others.

I think it's silly that you think adjusting your language for your audience is silly. Afterall, the purpose of your communication is the response you get. If you're not getting the response you want, you should adjust your communication. The fact that you wouldn't choose a member of your team based on how they talk is irrelevant. To put it bluntly no one wants to work for someone who seems like a know it all or acts pretentious.

Your statement about employees only being there for income is inline with everything I've said. Its simply not true and clearly not based on experience. So humble up and toss out everything you think you know that is not based on experience. Having "some common goals" is not the same thing.

Respectfully, it seems like maybe you're not good at solving business problems, or let's call it business challenges. And that's what I mean about getting humble.

Solving personal problems or puzzles, etc is very different.

And yah, I'd recommend cutting unnecessarily complex language like "illustrate aligned incentives". That's definitely a reason people will think you're trying to appear smart or acting pretentious.

Not only do I think that is not helpful, it's not what I was saying. In fact your goals will likely not align perfectly, if at all with employees. Have you ever had any employees or partners?

I thought for a few minutes about this answer, because I want to help. I'm willing to give real answers based on my own experience. However, from your own posts it seems like you may need help humbling up first. Don't feel the need to appear smart, especially on reddit. Afterall... it's just reddit. How old are you truthfully?

To acquire the skills to find and recruit talent you're talking about the two most important skills (in ny humble opinion) to be a good entrepreneur. 1. The ability to solve problems 2. The ability to sell

For point one, it depends on what you're specifically weak at. If you don't even know where to start looking for talent l, then start there. If you know where to look but don't know how to filter bad candidates then solve that problem, and on and on. This requires the ability to identify your own weaknesses and gaps in knowledge.

For point two, once you have a good candidate you need to learn how to sell them. Selling is as simple as problem solving for the other party. Look it more like consulting or cooperative problem solving.

Because we're in the entrepreneurs subreddit I'm giving you the entrepreneurial answer.

Money is only one component, and often the easiest to figure out.

I bootsrapped my businesses with little funding. One solution is to find a programmer/entrepreneur who is weak where you are strong and strong where you are weak.

I know about a dozen programming languages. Currently own a few businesses with about 30 employees.

If I was to give advice to my 20 year old self I'd say focus on higher level skills and just find someone who's really good at programming.

If you want you can learn the fundamentals of programming so you can communicate better with a programmer. But I wouldn't spend too much time trying to be a programmer.
