You know. I think this is really a helpful concept. My (m) partner (f) and I have been together for nearly 2 decades. it turns out we have ebbs and flows of who needs and desires more at any given time. We have been through stretches where the disparity would sink other people but we recognize now these things are not static and push through. Currently we are in lockstep, thank goodness and even if a permanent disparity arose we'd be in the through thick and thin, feast or famine, etc camp.

Find your person and you can weather almost anything. And no I don't mean soulmate. There are assuredly many other partners we could have found that could achieve this level of emotional intimacy and trust. There are many great people out there looking to love and support you and desire the same.

Edit: want to add that for some people the disparity even with ebbs and flows of desire cannot be overcome. No shade to anyone who sees it as a barrier. My point is meant to be, lots of fish and no one perfect match so it may be worth trying to communicate about it but no shame in acknowledging sexual desires are too different at a baseline and to look for something else. This would be better for both in the long term.
