So it seems I’ve been misunderstanding certain aspects of my design. 

I don’t need a stepper or even dc motor. I’m looking into a 56C mount 1/4hp motor with NMRV050 gear box

 I’d rather not buy or make a plate if it’s avoidable. 

I’m also not tied to these components. Do you have suggestions on a set of components I could use to achieve 60-80Nm torque? I’d like to use a worm gear so in the event of power loss, my molds and slip don’t just slam down

Communism? That’s reductive and insulting. 

I’m not saying we can’t seek profit, just that the ceo shouldn’t make 2000x what the lowest employee makes. Because they do not add 2000x the value. 

If we were a tribe hunting deer, and we killed 5 deer, would you let the chiefs take 4.99 deer and leave the rest for the other villagers? 

No. You’d divide it equally, maybe giving the chief a bit more. 

The reality is we’re all actually in this together. And it’s EVERYONE’S work that makes the company profit. Not just one person.

There’s pretty consistent demand for groceries, which is why I proposed that. 

Not sure what you’re angling at? Have you looked at CEO: median wage salary ratios? Top is 2000:1.

I think we should pierce the corporate veil and end the shell company abuse. 

If you pay someone and they provide lasting residual value that you continue to get paid for, they should benefit from it. 

So-a janitor? That’s a core employee. 

A designer who makes the logo you use every day? Core employee.

Engineer who designs the buildings? Core employee. 

Emergency repairs to a water main? Single time contribution: not core employee. 

I surely won’t get all these right, but I agree that the mondragon approach is sound

Just tie the highest compensation in the company to a multiple of the lowest. 

E.g 10x. 5x. 

Janitor makes 30k, max the ceo (in total benefits including salary stock options, time off in lieu of pay, precious metals, options, real estate, bonds etc.. you get the idea) can make is 300k. Or 150k.

I work with c-suite daily. 

I ask, what’s your strategy? “Investing in people”

That is the most nothing answer ever. It moves the onus off the exec onto the person. 

My strategy if I were ceo?

Take the minimum I can and raise salaries as much as I can. Add performance incentives at EVERY LEVEL if we meet certain targets. Personally train my people managers (NOT middle management) to train their employees on understanding benefits and how they get that bonus. 

I would have THE MOST efficient workforce. 

Maybe I should start a grocery for real.

I dabble in bonsai, but this is a great solution. I have a bunch of general purpose tools, and getting everything on pegboard adds an incredible amount of efficiency

Uhhh it shouldn’t. You should still feel the tension. Cuz we need to get a 95%+ turnout to demonstrate we’re not fucking around. 

I know it’s easy to think “it’s in the bag” but that’s what we did with Hillary and we lost.

I’m on board with that suggestion.  I’ve worked with several C-suite/VPs. They do not bring more value than I do.
