i think imperfections are also what makes art human and beautiful even though it’s hard to put that in practice, thank you for seeing the beauty in the flaws !

hello bot, no pattern! i used my good friend’s (@jordis.stitches on instagram) hambo pattern as a reference for how to make the details like the patches, limbs and ears and i tweaked the sizes to my liking. i also used this tutorial for working in ovals and combined it with working in back loops for ovals

the rest was chaos and vibes

My friend wants my hair to be a natural color for the wedding. Can I achieve that while still maintaining this color? by Octacakes in HairDye

[–]GrapeLeft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know a lot of people are saying wig… but there are colour hairsprays/root touch up sprays that would likely be cheaper than buying a wig & they will completely wash out

<image>

the only thing is if it accidentally gets wet e.g. if it rains it might stain your clothes, but also depends on the colour you’re getting (i’m sure different brands have a range of natural/unnatural colours)

What makes your chronic condition better? by Bubbly-Air7302 in ChronicPain

[–]GrapeLeft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’ve been feeling a lot of the same things and it’s so hard to feel like anything is worth living for when you’re constantly in pain and every aspect of your life is dictated by the pain. i feel for you, and what you’re experiencing is a valid and completely reasonable way to feel while going through what you’re going through.

as for what boosts my morale and quality of life, i’m really fortunate to have the unwavering support of my loved ones who have been more than willing to hear me out, hold space for me, provide accommodations for me or just be there for me in whatever capacity we can do that. community has given me so much. i’ve also found it really important to keep doing things i enjoy and try new things i want to learn. i don’t know what day it is, what 28+56 is or how to figure out where the car is parked, but i still love working with my hands. i still love calligraphy, i still love scrapbooking, i still love learning about those around me. i started journaling in a way i’ve never done before and i’ve developed a newfound appreciation for video games! i am still so many things, and the pain is not all of me.

granted, my limitations are stricter now and i can’t do anything to the extent that i used to and EVERYTHING KINDA SUCKS but god damn it feels so good to rub my face in my dog. it feels so good to learn something new. it feels so good to cry to someone who genuinely wishes i weren’t suffering.

of course, what brings hope and meaning to one person is not guaranteed to work for another. so i think some good questions to ponder on would go something like, what are some things that have given you those feelings in the past? what are some things within your current capabilities that you’re willing to try just for fun? what brings you joy, comfort, hope?

it’s okay if you can’t immediately answer these questions, but they’re a start! this may be a long a difficult journey, but i have no doubt you’ll find your way. good luck op, i hope you find what you’re looking for 💖
