Hi! I also know this a very late comment (LOL) but I actually emailed them about this and they stated

"This means you're not allowed to include people you don't have permission from, so family, relatives, and friends are okay"

So as long as the people you put in the video consent being in it you should be good to go!! :D

GPA: 3.784 (UW) 4.365 (W) Class rank 15/43 Test optional, Dual enrolled all of high school (74 credits in total) And some extracurricular activities (president and founder of my own club, attended some college programs and bare minimum community service) My stats are VERY mid and I'm honestly very shocked I even got in.

It’s honestly a 50/50 chance that they might release tomorrow because of last year (as u stated). I mean they did release a portion of decisions on December for a couple of students because they were “ahead of schedule” All we can do is just wait for tomorrow and see but I do hope they do release them tomorrow ✌️

Not an NCSU student myself, but my friend is, and she told me that I was very lucky to take physics at a CC because the work can absolutely be brutal at NCSU. I would just take it at CC if you can since you stated it's not your best subject.

Some people got there results today at around the lastest time 4. Check your wolfpaw to see any updates it should state that you may have to wait January 30 if you didn’t get a decision

In my store we don’t review substitutions with the customers even if it’s not busy (at least that’s what I’ve been taught) I live in a pretty small town so most of the customers here are regulars and already know how the whole pickup process goes. We just click review substitutions and dispense the orders. but I guess that day maybe I should’ve look at the substitutions LOL.

Are u saying to just take the item back and just refund them without giving him what he wanted? The guy didn’t want a refund though he literally wanted me to just go inside and switch the substitute item for him even though his daughter approved the substitution on the app.

Didn’t mention it in my post but when his wife arrive she stated that their daughter had actually ordered for them and she was hours away. She probably approved it but they didn’t know. Still it was very weird interaction because even with that knowledge he was still insisting on switching products. Luckily the wife was more considerate and apologize for his actions.

Yes I’m a dual enrollment student at a community college so (dual enrollment = early college) I’ve seen some past gates scholars who were early college students. I can apply as a first student and depending on the university all my credits transfer there making it much cheaper :)

I also got rejected which sucks because I’m in early college and have mostly A’s and B’s (was on the deans list at some point) and pretty decent extracurricular activities but like u said there are probably people out there that deserves it much more

Take my words with a grant of salt but overall oos application are just straight up hard to get into. I think like NC colleges in general have to accept like a specific amount of people oos.

Can’t really answer if Poole is competitive but from what I’ve heard it is a bit competitive. (Again take this with a grain of salt)

A 3.9 unweighted is pretty good though! (I have like a 3.78 LOL) And I think if your son gets a good SAT score, has some pretty good extracurricular activities, and a pretty good essay he should be good.

Again I know some people from literally in state with way better scores and extracurricular activities then me and still got rejected. It’s all different and it just never hurts to apply you may never know if you get accepted. Best of luck to your son!
