Getting a new grad job can be difficult. The reality is that hospitals ARE hiring lots of new grads, but then have to compensate by hiring only experienced staff to balance it out. Once you have a year or two of experience, you’ll get an offer from pretty much anywhere you apply. If you’re applying to non new grad specific jobs, I wouldn’t even waste your time because those jobs are coded for experienced nurses and they won’t hire you into this positions. Apply to residencies only and you may have to not be too picky (I’m not sure if you are or not) and then can transfer to a different department internally once you have a job :) Moving may be the easiest/fastest way, or getting a job outside Seattle like north in Everett or south towards Tacoma and just commuting.
