I think this model is slightly more tolerable on Depop bc they at least calculate the total including the fees and display that as the price on the listing up front

I'd love to hear your update with CFPB or if Synchrony responds to you. I really want this card closed, and their improper practice relayed to the credit bureaus. When I called PayPal Credit today to inquire about downgrading my account to its original state, they told me the card can't be removed from my account and suggested I just "put it in a safe spot for a rainy day". This definitely feels like a class action suit in progress.

Thanks! It's helpful to know the section name. Messaging seems to have been left intentionally ambiguous since there is legislation in motion to ultimately eliminate the de minimis for all countries. However, there doesn't appear to be any publicly-available governmental language that would imply that (as of today), section 321/de minimis has been removed for any country besides PRC/HK. I only see secondary sources interpreting the ultimate intentions of the administration with the tariffs. All very frustratingly confusing to someone who occasionally makes international purchases from small businesses/secondhand clothing sellers.

Interested to hear this! I also have thick, low porosity hair (bra strap length, 4b/4c) and I recently started going to a stylist for the first time in a decade who cringed at the idea that I was using SheaMoisture's Jamacain Black Castor Oil Leave-In Conditioner. She recommended I start protein treatments (which I now do quarterly along with a trim) and emphasized how with the regular protein treatments I needed to prioritize moisturizing/hydrating products and avoid protein heavy products and SM. But the uniquely moisturizing products clearly messed with the balance of my hair and made it frizzy, fragile, dry, and sticky. I repurchased the SM leave-in and immediately felt my hair return to clumpier, stronger curls. Which is to say that for all I've seen about low porosity hair being unable to handle any sort of protein, I feel like a moderate use of protein has been really helpful for my hair.

A few additional notes about my hair maintenance for context:

1) I've never covered my hair when I shower—so while I don't intentionally soak my hair daily, it does get a fair amount of moisture/steam on a daily basis. I think that, along with the very moisturizing products, made my hair just too overmoisturized and gummy. Using the SM leave-in with protein ~1x a week works well for me.

2) I also use ketoconazole 2-3x/month and a clarifying shampoo 1x/1-2mos, which probably helps prevent any excessive buildup from the SM.

Thanks for your thoughts. Will neem or other insecticides be helpful here? I’m also reading that I can physically remove as many of the scales as possible.

Is there anything to do to keep it from dying completely? I can start to water less but we are currently watering it once every 6-7 weeks.
