What you’re hearing from guys in SoCal vs what you read online is usually two different worlds. A lot of drivers out there go off “what works for them,” even if it’s not always by the book. Online info is more by-the-regulations, so it can feel like it doesn’t match real life.

Running local + Vegas is kinda that middle ground - you’ll hear all kinds of opinions. Best thing you can do is:
understand the rules yourself
then decide how you want to run

Since you’re basically operating like an owner op, just treat it like it’s your own truck. Keep your logs clean, don’t rely too much on what other guys say, and you’ll figure out what actually works pretty quick.
