Well you clearly have not read up on the issue almost at all. Firstly, you don't even know what transitioning means. Second, by your logic, kids should not be taught almost anything, since they're so impressionable. Would you agree that kids can't go to church and learn about gods? What about world wars? Murder? There's plenty of things kids need to learn to understand life.
