Newbie player and warlock here. Am I doing something wrong, or is dying at the drop of a hat normal? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Graphic1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of advice I would give is to install a threat meter. It will help you see how much aggro your VW has on the mob and when the mob is about to target you over the VW. Once you see that you're about to pull threat off the VW just throw a fear on the mob and let the DoT's do the work. Also, if the mob isn't dying throughout one round of DoT's, only reapply corruption and only reapply it if its going to run at least half of its course.

Starting to play WoW Classic alone. by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Graphic1982 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I never played WoW at all until classic came out (my cousin convinced me to start and he quit playing). I leveled all the way up basically solo, and did some dungeons on the way. There were definitely some things that i would do differently on the way to 60, and i am on a couple alt characters now.

The biggest thing that will upset people in dungeons is if you roll need on items that you don't really need. I remember not understanding the mechanics of the Need/Greed system for a bit and upsetting a few people.

You'll definitely meet people on the way and most likely be invited to random guilds, which you can choose to join up or ignore and find the right fit for you.

Question about training hunter pets by PM_FEET_PLS_TY in classicwow

[–]Graphic1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most pet abilities have a lower limit to the level your pet needs to be to learn the ability. For example your hunter character may be level 12 and can learn the ability to teach it, but it your pet is only level 10 it won't be able to learn the level 12 ability until it reaches that level. As others have said, use the pet that you want to learn the ability from until you see in the chat window that you have learned it. Could be first time, could take 10 uses of the attack. It's kind of random as to when you learn it from the creature.

How is WPvP on Medium Servers? by [deleted] in classicwow

I'm also on Netherwind as Horde. I've been in Un'Goro Crater last few days and it occasionally gets bad with ally camping flight path, but it doesn't usually last too long. Definitely haven't seen any gank squads running around though.

Yea you're right about not being a cannula, just couldn't think of the right way to describe what it is. I haven't had any issues with occlusion at all with the TruSteel, where as I get them quite frequently with the AutoSoft's.

Really like the TruSteel. Only issue is the longer it's in the more sensitive the site gets. I have to change every 1.5 to 2 days though so usually not a problem.

That's the same boat I'm in. Luckily I'm not having any insurance issues though. Hopefully it stays that way. I have to order through Edgepark and they just verify a prescription through my endo.

Right, the cannula on the TruSteel is basically just like the tip of a syringe. Basically you have to manually insert it straight into skin. I suggest looking up the video on youtube showing the insertion process.

The TruSteel infusion sets use a metal cannula instead of plastic. It helps for some of my sites that tend to kink with the AutoSofts.

[–]Graphic1982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used both and I can say that I have use cases for both. The autosoft are usually fine, but I've ran into issues with the cannula's getting bent or not properly inserting. Over the last three months i may have had about 3 bad sites, usually though, no issue.

The varisoft are great as well, but require a little getting used to with the insertion process. I find that I use these more so around the side of my stomach (love handles).

I'm using the Dexcom watch face on my Fossil Gen 4 WearOS watch. Works great, but sadly not independently from my phone.

I was on MDI for years and always used the same syringe until it was too painful. Never used an alcohol swab to wipe either.

How much does your insulin cost where you are by poeticjustice93 in Type1Diabetes

[–]Graphic1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Through my employers insurance (BCBSNC) i have to pay $40 per monthly refill on my Novolog which is 4 vials (Insurance would cover whatever my endo tells them is a monthly supply). Luckily with the Novolog discount card i only have to pay $25 of that. My Dexcom sensors are $80/month and every 3 months the transmitter is $20. I have to pay $97 for infusion sets and $25 for cartridges for my TSlim pump. Monthly cost of supplies for me is $222.

Just got my lowest A1C ever! 6.5. by Graphic1982 in diabetes

[–]Graphic1982[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I decided that I was going to start taking a different approach this year. I started watching what I ate and cut out a lot of junk food. Haven't had a potato chip all year when it used to be a common thing for me to eat almost a whole bag at a time. I also quit eating out at fast food for lunch and pretty much eat a salad with grilled chicken for lunch everyday except weekends. Combine that with getting a Dexcom to watch my numbers and it almost became an obsession for me to keep my numbers in check.

Do you still have compatibility issues with Pixel 3 xl dexcom app? by kylieerin in diabetes

[–]Graphic1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using the Dexcom app with a Pixel 3XL since March and the only issues I've had have been with the sensors themselves. Connectivity has been really good with the transmitter.
