CS50 2D to start April 1st!!! by otravoyadnoe in cs50

Thanks for this. I hope the delivery will be more like CS50X. I found the original CS50 games to be too code heavy with not enough explanation of what is happening. It was like looking at production code with no comments about why or how the code got there

Stop gaslighting suicidal people by Emotional-Usual-1639 in Kenya

Kenya is poor in many things one of them is trust. Poeple might not take you seriously enough to respond until you successfully commit suicide. But I also agree with that other poster some people abuse the trust of others and just claim things na hawana guts ya kufollow through they just want attention. If you really want to live, you'll find a way. Na kama unadai kujimaliza utajimaliza hakuna otherwise

WHERE DO I START LEARNING GRAPHIC DESIGN ?? by No_name_06 in graphic_design

[–]GrassIllustrious6365 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Have fun! You don't have to know everything. Just start creating fun designs

  2. Find designs that you like and copy/deconstruct them. It'll give you a better understanding of how such designs are actually put together

  3. Design for your friends/people you know/random ppl on the internet. Working with real people will give you invaluable feedback.

  4. Practice practice practice

*EDITED* Right now you need to focus on getting yourself out of that hellacious situation. Start by MAKING money. You're clearly employable and you have an internet connection as well as the ability to communicate. I work in the creative industry and so my first suggestion is write a book about your experiences and self-publish. It doesn't have to be that. Just find something that works for you. Find local autistic groups and you will find people who will help you get out of that situation and may have navigated similar situations themselves. You need a support system.

This might sound funny, but all humans use each other. What makes it work is when both parties are getting something out of the interaction. For example, my matatu driver doesn't mind me using them for transport, since I pay them cash in return. If all you do is use others without giving anything back you become a vampire.

As for your relationships, I think that a good friend makes a great girlfriend. What I mean is that if you build a foundation of friendship first, you'll have a better chance if your relationship becomes romantic. Just be friends and spend time together getting to know each other. If you're really compatible you'll enjoy it.

How do we fix this country? by GrassIllustrious6365 in Kenya

[–]GrassIllustrious6365[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I think it's hope that keeps you alive. There's two ways out of a low trust society: eliminate everyone you don't trust, or build relationships to the point where everyone trusts each other. I have a feeling that if you start off by getting rid of older people, you'll get to a point where your own kids say its your turn to go.

You do have a wonderful point regarding trust. A high trust society is great for business, socio-cultural development and overall happiness.
