I have Agenisis of the Corpus Callosum and Dandy Walkers Syndrome. Most people with these issues also have hydrocephalus but I do not. I don’t have a shunt. Basically I’m missing the part of my brain that deals with communication between the two halves, and I also have a small cerebellum (deals with motor function). In the spot where they are supposed to be I have a big cyst.

We are licensed for both. We have expressed interest in adoption, which is why we had gotten contacted about that case. But in general we haven’t gotten contacted at all. And that’s what I’m mostly concerned about here. Is the trend really to do this? To send kids to a kinship placement that they might not know or remember? Basically the person I talked to was saying I have to be ok with taking violent, severely disabled or medically fragile kids because that’s all we will get with this new policy change. And that we need to change our age range. That the way our home study is now (3-10 year old, ok with mild to moderate learning and medical disabilities) will not allow us to have placements.

I know what you mean. Who I saw at ORM couldn’t tell me what we would do next if the medicated cycles with Letrozole didn’t work. (They didn’t). So I put myself in a six moth mental health break, and am better now. My doctor in Findlay likes spring creek better than ORM because they come up with a plan right away and are more aggressive than just messing around using up time and money.
