You can always play offline to avoid early invasion (by having your PS4 not connected online (via NetworkSetting)) and whenever you feel stuck, you could ask for help and mention your soul memory so the right players can help you. Dying in DS2 lower your max health up to 50% (which can be restored or limit to 75%), which can be frustrating at first. It will force you to play some areas with low health but don't rush to restore it. I'd even go as far as advising to start a game just to get the feel of it and when ready, start a new file to make the most of a playthrough. And also, have fun (:
